what are the restrictions for taking NCLEX-PN please help
Not trying to sound like a smart aleck, but I would recommend that you call your state boards, or the organization in charge of the applications to clarify what they are requesting, especially since it sounds like you've already provided them with all the necessary documentation. Someone might have had a similar background to yours, but their experience may differ. I would imagine that state boards also vary on their requirement in this type of situation. Good luck!

DePaul MENP Winter 2012
Yup, I've heard of those pricey programs, in my opinion that's just ridiculous.

DePaul MENP Winter 2012
Well...it's $600 per credit hour. The program is set at 107 credits. I'll let you do the math since I don't want to see that number again. All I know is, I'll be in some debt when I come out

DePaul MENP Winter 2012
Nope, no letter yet. They said letters were sent out Friday, I've been checking my mail constantly. Yeah, the program cost does seem more than a little intimidating...but I'm sure we'll manage! We already got through the stage of getting in! I recently completed my undergrad at the University of Washington in Seattle with a major in American Ethnic Studies. For the past two years, I've been working in a pediatric emergency department. It'll be a change not having to work nights anymore. Are you local to Chicago? I've never been there before, so it's been a lot of apartment hunting online. I'm not sure if I'll even survive the harsh winter of Chicago...

DePaul MENP Winter 2012
I went to "Course Descriptions" --> "NSG XXX" --> "View Class Sections" --> "Terms Offered/Show Sections" I'm not too familiar with Campus Connect just yet. There might be a shorter way. :)

DePaul's MENP questions
@TheSquire, First off, thanks for being so active in this thread, I've learned so much from you. I finally received my confirmation e-mail yesterday from DePaul! I'll be part of the incoming Winter 2012 cohort! I'm excited to learn again Since I'll actually be moving from Seattle, I was curious if you have any apartment recommendations (I know you previously recommended Rogers Park and Edgewater)?

DePaul MENP Winter 2012
just called DePaul to retrieve my campus connect information. it appears I have the "Immunization" and "For Admitted Students" link, but no e-mail confirmation. I'm guessing it's because I sent it via physical application. anyone in the same shoes as me? I really hope the two tabs mean I am accepted...*worry*

Nursing School Recommendations?
First off, I apologize if this sounds like a plead for help...but it is! I've applied and unfortunately did not get in last application process. I hate to say it, but I'm desperate to enter a Nursing program; I just want to start learning again! I have looked at different options and programs, BSN, ABSN, and MEPN programs, so many I'm starting to lose track of and mix up with. Right now I just need some advice on which schools to apply, I'm not too picky :) I have a B.A. from the University of Washington. My cumulative GPA is 3.36, and pre-reqs right around a 3.0. My pre-reqs include A&P I,II, Chemistry, Biology, Micro, Nutrition, and Lifespan, with credit in AP statistics back in the day. I have a few years of volunteer/work experience in a hospital, and held leadership positions in extra-curricular activities. I just want some schools that I have a chance of finding a seat in... any suggestions will be really appreciated. I'm located in the Northwest, and don't have much obligations (family, house), so I am free to move if needed. THANK YOU so much for all those who are willing to help. :)

Anyone volunteering at a hospital?
Yup! I have! It's hard to say because it really depends on which department you will be volunteering in. If you volunteer in the local ER, you will more than likely be just cleaning rooms, transporting patients, and restocking. But if you could clarify what department you are trying to volunteer in, it would be easier to say. Also, each hospital is different as well, so there is no definite answer! Hope this helps!

What are my chances?
Hey! thanks so much for the response. While I know that it's unlikely, I would love to either attend the University of Washington, or UPenn for their pediatrics. I will probably also be applying to University of Colorado, Denver Other than that, I'm still looking around. I might be going way over my head though...I'm just trying to find schools that don't just look at GPA for admissions and instead weigh multiple factors as a whole... Any suggestions?

Least competitive schools for accelerated BSN or second degree BSN
I'm in your shoes as well. I'm finishing up my BA and minor. I'm currently full-time (max credits), and part-time job. My GPA is a 3.3, with my nursing pre-reqs a tad bit lower...hopefully it doesn't keep dropping. As much as I would like to just concentrate on school, I really enjoy my experience in work... Did you end up applying anywhere, or have any schools in mind?

What are my chances?
Hello! I've been looking at ABSN and Traditional BSN programs lately. I was wondering if I could obtain some advice from the brightest minds out there about getting into any program. I will be graduating with a BA in Ethnic Studies and a minor in Diversity with a 3.7 GPA. However, my Nursing Pre-req GPA is currently around a 3.1, which I will either raise or drop depending on these last few quarters. Overall, my cum GPA is 3.3. Although my GPA is not as competitive as many others, I do have a decent handful of Volunteer/Paid hospital hours as well as leadership positions. I was wondering what my chances are in getting into: 1. ABSN program 2. Traditional program Any recommended programs that I have a higher chance in getting into? I appreciate any help/recommendations!:)
