hi pitxurri19! Yeah im not alone..thank god.. that would be horrible if i am the only one. I just submitted my reapplication last week. Im planning to take it on october, so I have roughly 3 mos to do hard core studying.. This would be my 3rd take, and I don't know how to react if I failed again. I just need to motivate myself over and over again. Let's help each other out! good luck to all of us!

wow! congratulations po! you are now officially an RN! I am so happy for you. you will be my inspiration and motivation from now on..imagine you go to the library, answer so many practice questions, and really took your time well. I wish I could quit work, but I just can't. Got bills to pay. I guess this would be an extra challenge for me. I just need to double up whatever im doing. Thank you for all the tips you have shared, and prayers your about to offer. If I pass mag papa lechon ako! hahaha for, real thanks for everything. I really appreciate it especially from a person I don't know, for we share our experience with our love for nursing. Thanks again! :bowingpur:bowingpur:bowingpur- It has been 4 years... not so sure anymore

thank you very much! wow i guess after hearing those advices from all of you i guess I just need to motivate and enjoy studying (all though i know that would be a challenge..lol) yeah i will look into that book you suggested. you are right, we all survived the 4 years of nursing, so I think we can all leap obstacle we called nclex and be the best RN's we could be! PS, Yes, I really need to discipline myself, and be flexible at the same time, and stop procastinating! Never quit! We can do this!! :dncgbby: oh yea! woot! woot!- It has been 4 years... not so sure anymore

Hi there! Thank you for your response. A month after graduation i came here, so i did not have the chance to take the local boards back at home ,so o really have no idea what to expect. I really cant afford to go home right now study because of financial reasons. I cannot afford to quit work as well. I have never answere that so many practice questions. I tried doing a hundred but i would get tired easily, then i would start procastinating. Thats why i read the book because i think i need to understand the content better. I will ttry to do more practice questions as you suggested. Hope it works! Thank you so much for your help..- It has been 4 years... not so sure anymore
Hi everyone! Hope everybody is having a good day. it has been 4 years since I graduated BSN in the Philippines. I have been trying to pass the NCLEX but until now, no luck at all. It seems to me that I am slowly forgetting what I have learned (Clinically & Theoretically) in my 4 years in the Nursing school. I enrolled in kaplan , paid $700 but did not really worked out for me because all the instructor do is read questions in the projector for hours. I am enrolled in a review center right now and still trying to get the hang of it. I am working 5 days a week, so I only have the weekends to study. I failed my exam twice, and I just submitted my application for a re-take. I am not sure what am I doing wrong here. I have all the material, I have saunders, kaplan, nclex made easy, feuer audio, kaplan medication flashcards, and the list goes on. When I get home, I try to study at least 2 hours, and I try to suck all the information, its just that whenever I see a book, my brain automatically alerts me to say No!! I take the practice tests but the highest score I can get is 60%. I sometimes wonder of nursing is really for me. I love nursing, and I personally think that is the only field I really see myself doing for a long time, and it just doesn't seem to go on that same page as much as I want to. Sometimes I wonder if a structured study habit is all I need. Need advice..I still love nursing just like how it felt during my first clinicals when I was still a student. Looking forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks!- JULY NCLEX-ers!!
Hi Jujubeegirl! You are so not alone! We have the same case..I have all the books, even audio cd, online. I have all the materials, but for some reason I am so overwhelmed with all the topics. I don't know which subject to study first. I failed it twice, and whenever I do practice test mostly i get is a score of 60's.. thats the highest it can get. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Need help! Would appreciate it thanks! Good luck to all test takers! Don't lose hope! We can nail this! :w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:- NCLEX tomorrow/4th attempt
omg, i enrolled at kaplan because I heard their really good. I payed for 700bucks that includes the 2 books and an in class review. Honestly, based on my experience, I barely learned anything. We would just sit there for hours i think 3 hrs max and then the instructor would just read questions in a projector all day. It was not a good experience for me at all. Maybe it goes different for others. Im just sharing my experience.- NCLEX tomorrow/4th attempt
you can do it! We just have to focus! focus! focus! What is your study habit? I need some help too..- How much are you studying each day for NCLEX?
I need help! I failed my nclex twice already. I am trying to get a hold of myself and motivate to study. I am overwhelmed with all the topics. Any advice on how should I start my study habits. I can't study all day, and i need breaks in between to keep me sane. I am working, and really don't have the luxury to study.. I have all the books, cd's, audios you name it, but its just the motivation I need. I work 5 times a week and I get home around 7 pm, from then i am tired, but I still try to make time for it. I try to eat first then start studying. Any advice?? that would mean alot to me. Need help so badly..Thanks!- NCLEX tomorrow/4th attempt
Hi there! I feel your pain..I finished my BSN back in 2007, and just like you I also failed it. I failed is twice. My first attempt was 2 years ago, I took it even though I know I am not yet prepared, but still I took the test just to see how the test go and all that. When I failed, I studied but not too hard because I was working and had alot of things going on. I will be scheduling my 3rd take this year. I tried to study whenever I get the chance to. I don't have that drive to study because after the failed attempt that I had to go through, plus whenever I tried to pick up a book or do practice test my brain doesn't want to accept it. Do you have any tips for motivation? What is your study plan? There are alot of topics to cover I am just so overwhelmed and I don't know where to start. Good luck on your test! You can do it!- Need some help and advice to pass NCLEX please
i think using today's technology will put us to our advantage. :) yeah lets do that im up for that. whats the new format in april you guyar are talking about? i have no clue about that. please advise. thanks!- Need some help and advice to pass NCLEX please
