Dear all, I just took my CPNRE in Sept. and looking forward to hearing a positive outcome. I've almost completed my Perioperative Nursing Certificate and will be doing my clinical placement in Winter semester at one of the local hospitals. Ive also completed my Health Assessment and Medication Administration Certificates. Currently taking some mental health classes as well. I'm trying to find my way around here in Toronto in terms of getting a job as an RPN. I'm new in Canada (USA RN) and was wondering about the rpn opportunities in the GTA area. I know it's going to be not easy to find an ideal job but will I be able to get a job within a month or two? I need a job ASAP. Any suggestions or comments are highly appreciated. Thanks,
  2. I became an RN in Texas in August, 2011. I moved overseas last year and have never worked as RN in States. My license expires in Sept, 2013 and I was wondering about continuing educations requirement. How many hrs of cont Ed do I have to complete to maintain my license? What other requirements to keep my license active and current? Any info is highly appreciated. Thanks,
  3. Dear all, I'm an American RN with Perioperative Certificate was wondering about employment opportunities in S. Arabia. I lived in Dubai with my family in 2006 and I would say I love it. I have contacted many agencies here in USA and Canada but was turned down. As per agency's policy RN must have BSN degree which I do not have currently. I'm trying to find my way around to be hired by Saudi hospitals. I would be grateful if anybody can tell me how to get a job and what is visa requirements. I'm assuming I need a working visa in S. Arabia?
  4. Dear Fiona59,Unfortunately, I have been experiencing only the negative aspects of new entry nursing registration in Canada. I'm very positive that many internationally educated nurses in Canada have been experiencing the same problems as of mine. Almost every IEN has to wait 1-3 years for nursing credentials evaluation. The case workers in regulatory bodies are very unprofessional sometimes even rude. As an example, I took my NCLEX exam with other six students in private rooms with minimal waiting time vs 3000 students with 3 hrs waiting time. These are the only my personal experiences. Please do not get me wrong and Don't ask why I am wanting to work in Canada. Thanks.
  5. Well, the exam was kinda tricky and I had a lot of distructions. I was really shocked when I saw the people lining up for 300 meters long. I'm USA nurse and the organization part of the NCLEX exam way high than the Canadian one. Hopefully, I passed.
  6. Thanks tashap 18..
  7. I'm still waiting to hear from UfT. Is there any hope at this time?
  8. I'm really getting nervous... If I haven't heard from UFT yet I guess I'm not accepted this year. Just wondering has anyone received email recently from UfT?Thanks...

  10. I'm getting hopeless. Today is 4/23 and I haven't heard nothing from UfT. I have 4 year bachelor degree, completed all the prerequisite classes except Statistics (on process). I dont know what was wrong...
  11. Love it... Thank you very much for your info iloveleeks...
  12. Unfortunately, I applied only for BsN at UfT. Still waiting for a good news from admission. Please God help me out....
  13. I am an IEN and applied for the BsN at UfT. I haven't heard from the admission in awhile. Would it be a problem if I have a diploma in nursing? Kayp sorry, how were you informed by the admission office? Via email or mail?
