  1. You should not take less than that ($11.50). Check out Marquis facilities. There are quite a few around the Portland area. You should be able to find full time plus! 2. Yes, I got my letter today...in! finally
  3. I'm speaking mostly of Newberg, which is in Yamhill county, but not in Chemeketa's district. They pull your address and see where your official voting district is. We vote for PCC's bonds. That is why PCC is building a small outreach campus in Newberg. In Newberg we do use Chemeketa as our library district but apparently that does not count.
  4. This is from an email I received from Chemeketa when I asked the statistics for this year. "We received 227 applications total, this year, 197 were complete and scored for admission. We offered 48 students admission." I think they have 27 alternates. I also got a rejection letter with all 310 pts but I live in Yamhill County, not their voting district.
  5. Just wanting confirmation on which CCC- Clackamas or Chemeketa?
  6. I'm curious what "terrible" things you have heard about Clackamas CC. (Or did you mean CCC as in Chemeketa CC?) What do you mean by "actively sinking? Do you personally know ie. have friends in the program with complaints? Just wanting to know your thoughts.
  7. I ditto her advice with the Kreiger book. I couldn't have gotten an A without that book in my 5 week accelerated 231 last summer! I am not a huge visual learner but that book was so simple to understand. It was required for Chemeketa.
  8. Got invite for Clk CC interivew today!!! Finally moving ahead....
  9. I have 66 pts. The max is 70.
  10. It says our points will be posted on their website by May 14th. On your My Chemeketa their is a link to your nursing scoresheet that will eventually be there. Nothing yet. It says they will give a decision by June 30th. They are last of all nursing schools. I think if you didn't get invited to the essay, you are already out. Also, they have told me if you don't live in their district you will be eliminated at the tie-braker stage.
  11. See: Marquis Companies | Health Care Careers, Health Care Career Benefits, Care Giver Jobs for their current CNA class needs
  12. Salem's website has said for a long time, not currently accepting applications for their CNA class. I would think their message is old. I just checked this website today. See: Career Opportunities - Certified Nurses Assistant Program - Salem Hospital
  13. I don't know @ this program, but HIGHLY recommend Marquis's CNA training program. There is no cost, great teachers, low ratio. We had about 15 students in my class and 3 RN's who had been nurses 15+ years so lots of experience. It is 5 weeks M-F about 8am-3pm at their Mt. Tabor location. Go on their website and apply at the location you would want to work at. They post the class every month or so. Then you have a job working for them at the end.
  14. I also applied to PCC and also have exactly 55 pts. I did not yet have the work experience and was taking my last A & P this term so I didn't get all the credits done points. If not this year, next year I'll have the work experience and everything finished. I hope 55 is enough to get invited to the essay in April. We'll wait with fingers crossed!
  15. PCC told me in January that last year all alternates got in.
