Congrats to everyone that's been accepted. I also got into UMDNJ Newark campus I"m soooo excited its been a long road getting into a school and now finally I'm in a program. All new or currrent newark stsudents I have lots of questions

So did anyone get anything in the mail yet? After all Nursing Cas was not that badd. Only thing I got was an email from scholl stating to fax in BLS certification that was a day after deadline date. So How about everyone else denial or acceptance letters Please let me know

Hi CCaralain, I am also applying to UMDNJ Spring 2013 :). NursingCas and transcript entries Wow..Anyway are you applying for Newark or Stratford campus.

I am confused about NursingCas and how it calculates gpa for nursing school. I have a 3.0 BA degree GPA, but does NursingCAs tabulate gpa from all my cousework info that I filled out or does it score up gpa from the prereq for the nursing program.

2bEsqtoRN your comments about the city of Newark, Rutgers/UmdnJ is absoleutely false. Security issues are 100% the same. Also hope you realize the crime does in fact occur in any major city regardless of its location. Tri State area(NY,NJ,CT and down south (NC,GA,TX) plus orginial thread was about NJCU or UMDNJ... at the end of the day UMDNJ/RUTGERS and NJCU are all good schools but UMDNJ ABSN takes in more applicants.

So in my opinon, UMDNJ is the better school. Its an entire health professional school and has a hosiptal affliation. I am also applying to Rutgers ABSN as my first choice (former alum), then UMDNJ, NJCU,also has a great 12month ABSN program and Felician College. Nursing admission is highly competitive better to go with all the options then to be waitlsited for another year

Hi does anyone have a syllabus or isbn number for the book used for HIP at rutgers? I couldn't find the transfer equivalent for this class and would most likely have to test out.

The letter just states that admission to the program is biased on: courses completed @ ecc, residency, number times a science course was retaken, GPA in eng, bio 121 and chem, and NLN scores, but in actuality they just go by NLN scores. You needed to have 50% in AD perecentiles column and i didn't meet the mandatory numbers. I wished they had just mailed out the letters back in March because we knew our NLN scores then and regardless of gpa, and etc and those who scored higher on the test are the ones that have been accepted.

Congratulations for those of you who got in I just received a denial letter today .... But im not going to let that stop me from accomplishing my dreams. I'm just going to finish the remainder of my general science classes and transfer to a four year university. .. Oh if anyone is looking for the required books for nrs 107 my friend is selling them and they are in great conditon.
