It's the whole book! so at least you can see whats all in it and see it then decide for yourself if you think its going to help you and if you want to buy it ! Let me know .
  4. OHH and i also highly recommend going through all the threads that ppl mhave posted regarding the science section and just read and read . i know some of them get lengthy but i cam across one on here that gave me all sorts of answers.like what to know and stuff. It was awesome. just search type in TEAS science on here and look through all the threads and what ppl wrote back on. i promise there in one where someone spilt the beans on alot what was on there. ps dont forget to get that book i recommend. that thing was awesome.
  5. Mcgraw-Hill's Nursing School Entrance Exam book is the BESTEST thing for the science section for the TEAS. It goes over alot of the topics that the teas teas ask. If you dont believe me, you can write the name of the books name here in the search box and see what all the allnurses members have said about it. It helped me tremendously with the science section!!!!! IF you want to pass GET THAT BOOK.... i got mine for free by downloading it from Rhapsody.
  6. whoever said that was lying. ive taken the teas twice on the computer and the passage you read is above and you scroll down for the ?'s and multiple choice answers. trust me its on the same page.
  7. Hi! So right now I am a student Medical Assistant/ limited scope xray technician and am about to complete my associates degree in that. Before i do so i will need to complete a 160 hour internship. I have found my site . OBGYN office inside a large well known Kansas City Hospital. I would be working for six different doctors in that office. My ? is once i complete my intern and if they offer me a job, how do i go about negotiating pay. Keep in mind i am a new grad at this point but i am working for multiple physicians, its a specialty practice, and its in one of the best and largest hospitals around KC area . What do you think is fair and reasonable for me to ask?? 14 a hour? 15 a hour? Also since it being a large hospital do you think i would have a good chance for them paying for my continuing education for example lpn school/RN school.? Is that a ? i should ask when we are discussing salary? i mean how do i come out asking about that ? Please give me your input. I appreciate it greatly!!! -Bethany (student MA)
  8. Hello i am applying for a lpn program and i am ordered to take the accuplacer test so that they can see where i am on my english/reading and math. I was wanting to know does anyone out there know anything about this test. Please let me know!!!! Good websites for practice test? What type of math??? What should i focous on studying?? Thanks for anything you have to say.
  9. Your test you took? was it actually called the accuplacment test? or was it called the net...teas....compass???? let me know i may be able to help you .
  10. Id have to say that i believe the TEAS is much easier than the NET. DEF the math portion on the TEAS is easier. But for me ya, the TEAS was all around much easier. just my opinion but the ati study guide helped w/ the math but for english and reading comp and sci totally get the MCGRAW-HILLS nursing school entrance exam book!!!!! actually i found a thread somewhere on this site where i could download a FREE copy of the book on my computer!!! it helpeddddddd soo much!!!! i can send you the attachment if you like on email. if u are intrested my email is [email protected] : ) goodluck to you
  11. The only problem is i dont want to go to a 2 year college just to get my prereqs out of the way. These trade schools such as Concord and CTU (colorado techinical university) dont require you to have prereqs before applying. (plus im thinking they are a tad bit easier to get accepted into) yes def more money but may be worth it to someone like me that needs a steping program and fast. Ive looked into penn valley and its just tooooooooooooo long of a wait. Ive also heared of girls with 4.0 all throughout high school and college not getting accepted into penn valley. talk about discouraging. Sooo Heather...Lets say i did end up going to CTU; and i would graduate as a LPN. If i went into like Park University ( just a example) to bridge over to my RN, they may not accept my human development and a&p courses??? Is it common that that happens?? Thanks for warning me about that. I am def going to check into that when i go to the school to talk to the admissions advisor!! but dont wory i wont take their word for it. I'll go talk to the schools that i would eventually bridge over to get my RN and see what THEY SAY what they take and do not take. i appreciate your comment and bringing it to my attention. -Bethany
  12. Im also applying for the fall class at CTU in kansas city? was that the one you went to??? If you dont mind me asking how much was it for your lpn ?? thanks
  13. hi can you tell me if the program at brown mackie that you went through was rn or lpn? the one here in kc offers both the lpn program and rn but im finding out that in the other states where brown mackie colleges are that alot of them only offer the lpn. thank for sharing
  14. may i ask which school you decided on??? thanks
  15. may i ask you what type of specialist doctor you work for? thanks alot!!!
