  1. Hey!! I got in too! My friend text me earlier and said they started calling people. My heart started racing and I my blood pressure went up! I am so excited that I feel like i am dreaming. But this is only the beginning...we have soo much to do! My session is on March 25th at 8am. I can't believe it. I have to pinch myself:-) I am so happy for you and now we can stress together! :-) Alexis
  2. I know. How crazy are we that we are wanting that stress! We are some type of crazy:-) My friend said as much as she loves learning all she can she is extremely tired and stressed out. It is certainly not easy and definitely not for lazy people. I will probably have to work too...bye bye life! :-)
  3. I know. I can't wait to find out. I feel so stressed and nervous. I just want to know already. These next few weeks are going to be brutal! That would be cool if we both get in. Then we can stress out together for the next 16 months! -alexis
  4. wow. 104. that is awesome! That is the highest i have heard of so far. I hope I have a chance like you say I do. I cannot imagine trying for a 2nd time and not getting in. It's not like I am a bad student:-) i am not sure about the average for the hesi scores. Not sure how often that update that. When I took the test the class average for grammar was 57! That is horrible. I heard alot of the scores are better than the NET. So only time will tell. With your points there is no doubt you will get in. I am still keeping my fingers crossed that 94 points are enough to get me in. We shall see.
  5. i know. i hear you. I am taking classes I really don't need and wasting money at the same time. I think if you have a total of 101 points you should definitely get in. If someone finished all their classes, had a perfect 4.0 gpa and got a perfect score on the hesi they would have 112 points. the total points possible for the hesi is 57 after you divide your score by the 8.75. So 101 would be great. I have 94 total. Due to some bad advising, i wasn't told to retake a class I got a bad grade in over 10 years ago. So that was tough. The only reason I know about the range of scores is due to a girl at my session. She said her friend told her. So who knows. But it does change every semester based on the applicants. I would be extremely disappointed if i didn't get in for a 2nd time. And it is not like i am a bad student. I have only taken my classes once and passed with all B's. So we shall see what the pool of students look like this time around. And like you...i really want to go to unlv too:-)
  6. sorry. they didn't score 103 on the hesi. they had 103 points overall to get into the program. that included the hesi score, total points for attempts on classes and science gpa. last semester the points ran from 84-103. But it is all based on the pool of students. I didn't get a 93 on the hesi but on the grammar and vocabulary portion. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed!! I don't want to wait another semester to get in:-)
  7. the grammer portion of the test was not bad at all. I keep hearing people say how tough it was but I scored at 93. It is rather easy. And i need all the luck I can get. So far the people i have spoken to have between a 90 and a 98. I am not sure if anyone has a score higher than that. A guy I know had the highest score last semester. He got into the program with a 103. So it is really competitive. I can only hope the 2nd time around will prove positive! Good luck on your test.
  8. hello again. I didn't mean to suggest that only 80 people can apply. I was told there are 8 signing sessions and they hold about 10 people per session. And i didn't get in because my points were lower due to the fact I was missing 2 classes. But there were alot of students in the same position I was in but they did get in because they may have had a higher gpa or test score. It is all about the points you have. It is one of those things that it always depends on the pool of students who apply each semester. And i know how you feel....disappointment is not fun! :-) It was hard when i didn't get in but I am determined to keep going. Hopefully now that I am all done with my classes I will have a better shot. We shall see:-)
  9. hey there. I too am applying for summer semester and yes it is very competitive. I have been told all the signing sessions are filled so that is 80 applicants for the 48 spots. I applied last semester and didn't get in. I barely missed getting accepted but I was missing 2 classes. If you have only taken your classes once and have a good gpa and test scores you should be ok. My friend got in last semester and was missing a class but had stellar scores in everything else. You can calculate your score by printing out the hesi score sheet on the nursing website. That helped me alot in figuring out where I stand. But from what you say it sounds like you are in a good spot to get in! Good luck:-)
