approved US h1b visa under FY 2011
wow, really ? I had no idea. I am in a BSN program right now which is costing me a lot . And I was under the impression that one needs to take 12 units minimum per semester to maintain F1 status. But if your info is true.....hmm..something to think about...I think it's not just the school but the program too that has to be approved. USN in Nevada offers 18 month BSN program to students on F1. But not the 14 month BSN because it's partly online and has not been approved. Just my 2 cents :) But please let me know the updates if I am not in the loop. Thanks , cheers !

University of Oklahoma-Accelerated BSN Program
Hi ! I am not sure about Lawton . I know that their program that was to start in San Diego with SDSU in July 2010 was denied accredition. Reasons...I am not sure. Same goes for the Glendale campus. You probably want to make sure if they program is still around . I think they closed down in SD due to lack of funds.

Direct Entry MSN program
Hi ! I have looked online and have been calling different schools. It's super time consuming. Does anyone know of any schools that are accepting applications for Direct entry MSN programs with specialization in FNP for Spring 2011 ? I do have a list of schools with me that I am going to apply to. I don't want to miss out on any. Please please let me know. I will appreciate all the help. I am taking my pre reqs right now and am willing to locate anywhere within United States to study. I am not a nurse yet, and that is why I want to apply for Direct entry Msn program or a combined degree program. I have a B.A and M.A in another field with a GPA of 3.7 in Grad school and doing pretty well in pre reqs as well. I have seen that people are so helpful here:) All the responses are much appreciated ! :) Thanks so much !

At what age did you decide on nursing?
I am 31, and am doing my pre reqs right now. This is my career change and a 3rd degree. It's hard, takes courage and requires a lot of support and motivation. But kudos to everyone here who has taken this decision and done it ! :)

Cal State San Marcos, CSUSM, Accelerated, ABSN 2011
Hi Kurt , Send me a pm and I'll send you ***'s contact info. He is great , but he would take care of students with last name ranging between A-K. And there is ***** who takes care of L -Z. They will guide you step by step. And answer all the questions and are very prompt. It's great because the advisors are usually swapmed and students are applying in multiple schools. Getting answers is a task in itself. ***s is very helpful.

Cal State San Marcos, CSUSM, Accelerated, ABSN 2011
I am applying for Spring 2011 at CSUSM. I attended the Info session just yday. My advisor was great. They do require an intergrated Chemsitry, that has both Organic and Biochem element. Also 'infrential Statistics ' course. But they do consider IP courses. They have a point system going there. So an applicant needs minimum 33 points to get in. I called Azusa. They are booked till 2012 for the accelerated program. Wow, competitive !

University of Oklahoma-Accelerated BSN Program
Hi ! I have been following this thread for a few days now. I had so many questions that were answered :) I am an international student, with a B.A from my home country but I went to grad school here in St.Louis . I know that OU would accept International students. Is SDSU doing the same for the ABSN program ? I read in one of the posts here that they won't accept foreign BA/BS. But I already have a M.A from St.Louis and I am getting my pre-reqs here in Riverside, CA. Should be okay, right ? I really want to get in San Diego ABSN nursing program. I would be applying for Sprng 2011. Also, SDSU had a notification on their website that they would be only accepting students for Fall every year, starting this year. Is that for ABSN as well, or just the traditional BSN program ? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated :)
