  1. I am not sure if I posted or no. To the nurse with the dansko problem, me too. We have too high of instep, dansko clogs are not designed for this. I cut 2 slits, opposite side of leather over arch, then puncture holes, each side of slit, well back from the cut, shoved thin shoelace through each hole. Now I can adjust with the laces how tight the leather is over my arch. I tried stretching, but waste of $/time. I ended up with a painful boney spurr ON THE TOP OF MY ARCH. Once I cut and used the shoe laces, the pain stopped, my clogs are 20 years old, gardening shoes now. The boney bump is still there, just not growing or tender. Dansko makes low cut clogs w/ a strap, I own these too, not the same, but what's a girl to do?
  2. I am looking for Danskos clogs, your size. I saw your problem on the internet. I have the same problem, too tight across the top of the shoe. My instep is very high, any pull on shoe, forget it, if its my size, the shoe will not pull on b/c of my arch. (Sound like you, very high instep?) Stretching will not help, and if you insist, your body will respond with a boney bump, top of your arch, the pain will keep on, but worsening. Right now I am a size 38 (should be 37) and I cut 2 slits, to the R & L of the upper part of the shoe, that runs over the arch. To make sure the leather doesn't tear where I cut, I puncture 2 holes, well back from the slit, each side of the slit, where the stitching is, and I tie this area with shoe strings, that I adjust. Now you can wear clogs like these, AND adjust the amount of room over your arch. Dansko does make clogs without this arch piece, lower cut and with a strap. Good luck. I did my cuts and tie myself (the shoes are $100!), but a shoe store will do it too. Forget the stretching, I think this a big waste of $, the shoe is not design for people with really high insteps.
