  1. My school actually pays its' preceptors (not much but still), gives them CEUs, and supposedly helps them through the difficult times. But it is very unusual for a school to pay. I also understand that it is harder for my school to find preceptors for all of us, as we live all over the US and some islands, and some even live in Europe. I am not sure if they are going to move back to the US to get their clinicals done.
  2. I have the same problem. I moved to Arizona and still looking for a preceptor. I will go from door-to-door next week with my resume and introduction letter.
  3. Even in the best teams, there is at least one person who is just negative. Negative while taking report, negative and complaining about assignment EVERY time! It is not pleasant to work with such people who poison your own attitude. All the above quotes are sarcastic, but not negative. This is a way of self-defense of those co-workers whose attitude is poisoned every time they come for their shift.
  4. Hi! Is anyone living near Phoenix, Arizona?
  5. Thanks, UNLV-RN! Any job is better than no job!:) I am surprised they pay in Vegas more than in Michigan in certain hospitals. Also, I found that prices for food, rent, and even gym are less expensive. I rejected a job offer here trying to find something better, and meanwhile my husband got offered to transfer to Arizona. So now I am starting again with job search and license transfer:) Who knew! Thank for your feedback!
  6. Thank you! I appreciate your feedback!
  7. hi, naturalvibes! how did it work out for you at desert springs? i am thinking about accepting the offer from there, but at the same time i feel a bit uneasy about hospital itself. can you give me some objective feedback, please? should i wait for something else to come my way?
  8. Hi, guys! I am from UKraine, Dnepr. I have been in the USA for 6 years, and practiced as a nurse for a year in Michigan. Currently I am looking for a job in Las Vegas (I had to move here eventually).
  9. Can you, please, advise me if you have any information. I am applying to both Desert Springs and Spring Valley hospitals. I tried to google reviews about these hospitals (moved from Michigan, have no idea where to start). It looks like there were a lot of negative reviews about Desert Springs and some positive about Spring Valley. Tomorrow I am going to pass some test for Desert Springs, but I have a lot of doubt about accepting a job offer (if one is going to be offered...) Need HELP!!!
  10. I have just moved to Vegas from MI to be with my bf. I have only a year expierience, and no one called me until today. Desert Springs Hospital scheduled some clinical test for me to pass, and potentially to have an interview with the unit manager. I am a little bit upset as I do not know much about Desert Springs and was not able to find much in the Internet. Can anyone help?
