  1. SNLAVC-I appreciate your prayers. We are looking for a nursing home for him now, and I still have not had much luck on a job But I just have to have faith. Do you know what field you want to work in yet? WALLE- I passed after my 2nd time taking it in March... I used Kaplan the first time and failed because I didn't understand the content... Then I took Hurst to reteach myself all of the content and learningext.com for questions and passed! So good luck to you! Let us know how it goes!!!
  2. Thank you so much everyone. I hope you all are doing well!
  3. Thank you. I appreciate all your prayers everyone!
  4. SNLAVC-congrats! I'm so proud of you! Sorry I haven't been on in a while everyone. I have not forgot about you I have just been having a crazy life. After I passed my gpa got dx with CHF and is slowly deteriorating so I have been dealing with all of that, also I just found out yesterday that I have a hernia and have to have surgery sometime next week. And on top of all that I am having a heck of a hard time finding a new grad job in Washington state! Who would have thought haha! So that is what has been going on with me. But I have still been praying everyday for you all still taking the test! So good luck everyone! Just remember to take a deep breath and be confident! Keep me posted!!! :)
  5. I'm praying for ya!!!
  6. Snlavc- Do not panic, try to relax, take a deep breath, and the day before the test, go over a few things but just take it easy, you wont be able to learn anything new the day before. Trust me, I know how you feel... The first time I took it, I panicked, took 150qs in an hour and failed. don't let your nerves get the best of you. This time, I had 75qs and it took me 2 hrs and I passed. Take a deep breath when you walk in the testing center, put a smile on your face and be confident. YOU KNOW THIS STUFF! Tell yourself everyday that you can do it. And PRAY. I prayed everyday, and I am praying everyday for you as well. My practice test scores, also were not as high as they recommended. I was quite a bit below actually. However, I still passed this time! So do not stress over those scores. What have you been using the study? When is your test date? Don't worry, I have no forgotten about you! I check on here everyday and say my prayers, because I definitely couldn't have gotten through this thing without you all! YOU CAN DO IT! :anpom:
  7. The month is almost at an end. How many tests do we have left here?!!!
  8. I'm still praying for you all!!! Keep your heads up high and trust in the Lord! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!
  9. hello everyone! Thank you for the congrats! Good luck to all of you future test takers! Faith70~I would recommend the Hurst review if you need help with your content. They have online lectures that goes over the patho and such and it REALLY helped me because I was definitely weak in my patho. I took Kaplan the first time I took the test and failed, HOWEVER I feel that it was because I didn't understand as well because my patho was so weak. I would definitely recommend Hurst if you need content review. Also, I took the learningext.com as well because it was recommended by the nursing board website. so overall, kaplan is good for questions, hurst is good for content/patho, and learningext is good for both and recommended by the boards. so between all of those I finally passed! Good luck to you all!
  10. According to the quick results... I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhh! I am stoked! They are still unofficial results, but I hope they are the same as the official ones!!! Thank you to everyone on here who kept me in their prayers and thoughts! I couldn't have done it without all of your support! I will keep praying for u all and keep in touch! :redbeathe
  11. Really??? thanks everyone! I feel like a celeb haha! But I'll still have to wait for my final results... I am so thankful for all of you and your prayers and support. I hope this PVT works for me like it did for everone else! I will definitely keep you ALL in my prayers and let you all know when I get the FINAL results. For now, I'm going to take a chill pill and have a good night sleep tonight haha. :)
  12. Has anyone ever got the good pop up but NOT passed when the official results came??? I got the good pop up but I dont want to get my hopes up.... Help?!
  13. Faith70~I did that and I got the good pop up that said, "'Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time.'" That means I probably passed? I don't want to get my hopes up because we never know if those things really work... but that makes me feel a bit better, thank you. Has anyone ever had it say that and not pass???
  14. faith70~ How many days after can you do that? I just took mine yesterday...?
  15. snlavc-What is the PVT? and thank you for being so positive. It is hard to be myself to be honest. I don't want to have to take it for a third time, but I looked up some stuff after my test and I know I missed even some really EASY questions. So I just don't feel very good about it. Hope everyone else's studying is going well!
  16. Hello everyone! Thank you so much for all your prayers, good thoughts and support! I won't know for as long as possibly 2 weeks. But I am getting more anxious about it everyday. I am just trying to keep my mind off of it and do something to keep myself busy. How are everyone else's studies coming along?! Any good news from anyone?! Keep me updated! :)
  17. hey everyone! So I took my test at 8am this morning. Finished with 75 questions. I got a lot of priority, infection control and meds. So I honestly don't know what to think. I looked up a few things I could remember that I SHOULD HAVE known that are EASY such as precautions and such and I know I missed those so it's really just up in the air for me. There is nothing I can really do now but pray and relax. What's done is done and it's in God's hands. I can only hope for the best. But if I failed, again, third time's a charm right?! I'll keep you all posted when I know for sure. But I don't feel too good about it. ;/
  18. Thanks everyone! Here I go! Bright and EARLY! Keep me in your prayers today!
  19. Gold2010-I am also in Seattle but I am taking mine tomorrow! Wish me luck! But if I don't pass I will definitely be in touch! DreamgoalRn-don't give up, you are right, there is ALWAYS hope, and you CAN DO IT! Just take a deep breath, get some more study materials and pray. we are all here for you. So, here it is, my final day, I am just trying to not let my nerves get the best of me this time. I will keep you all posted. Tomorrow at 8AM. Here we go! WISH ME LUCK and PRAY HARD!
  20. Faith70-I take mine on Wednesday too! I'll keep you in my prayers as well! Just breathe!
  21. Thank you airborneinf82. I agree. Before you rely on the politicians, please investigate for yourself. http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/03/21/health.care.main/index.html?hpt=T1
  22. Snlavc-I haven't taken it yet, I take it Wednesday. However I have taken it once before and my biggest piece of advice is definitely not to rush. You have 6 hours to take it so take a deep breath, slow down and make sure you are reading the question and answer carefully. My biggest problem the first time is I let my anxiety get the best of me and rushed through without really thinking about it. I know better now! I just have to breathe and pray. Keep up the good studying! What have you been using to study?
  23. Hey everyone! I hope you are doing well! Congrats to those of you who passed and I'll keep praying for those who are still studying! I take my test for the 2nd time Wednesday! I am VERY nervous! Trying to think positively... Does anyone have any ideas on where to look as a new graduate for clinic nursing jobs? Most of them want experienced nurses, but I would really prefer working in a clinic then a hospital. But I guess I shouldn't get too ahead of myself. How is everyone's studying coming along?!
  24. hello Wall-E and the rest of the March NCLEX takers! Sorry I haven't been on here in a while, The Hurst review link is just www.Hurstreview.com I have been reviewing my content a lot so hopefully this way I will understand the questions better! How is everyone's studying coming along?! I take mine March 24th! Keep praying!!!
  25. faith70~ Thank you! Good luck studying and let me know if you end up using the Hurst review and how you like it!
