  1. I was wondering the same thing. I know my own experience as a patient. I've been in the hospital once and had several nurses. Most were very nice and I felt just as comfortable with the male nurse as the female nurse. I'm interested as to what kinds of stereotypes you get from your colleagues? Other nurses, your boss, Dr.'s, etc.
  2. 1. Exposure 2. Consider how long it will take to reach your Nursing Goal 3. Consider what kind of graduate degree you could get in that same time in your current field. Example, if it will take you 3 years to get an Associates Nursing degree, what could you do in that same 3 years in your current field?
  3. I agree, I don't think you are crazy at all. I'm 39, almost 40 and just starting. I plan to become a NP as well.
