Fall 2010 nursing program @ BMCC
Hi Starlette, Yes, I'm currently enrolled at BMCC. I started this thread and its' honestly been more helpful than the BMCC staff. It's like pulling teeth to get answers from anyone working there! Are you currently enrolled?

Fall 2010 nursing program @ BMCC
Hi! I'm actually in the same boat! I'm taking Math 104 and Psych 100 right now. Last semester, I took English 101. Could I take Chem in Summer Session 1 and Bio in Summer Session 2??

Fall 2010 nursing program @ BMCC
Hi Guys, Ugh, unfortunately since I'm still labeled as a non-degree student, b/c I only took English last semester, the registration date given to me was Jan. 27. I can log into Panther and my Panther account says something abuot registering on the 26th so I'm hoping I can just register online? Does anyone have experience with that?

Fall 2010 nursing program @ BMCC
Thank you so much, you guys have sold me on the Math, Psych, Chem curriculum for this semester. I just emailed the BMCC prof in charge of online classes. My registration date is next Wed. Is it too late to register for an online Psych? I'm going to do Math in person b/c it's not my strongest subject.

Fall 2010 nursing program @ BMCC
Thank you for your wonderful advice Bilis!!!! Do you mean take one science now and the other science another semester rather than both at once? That's a good point b/c I am working right now. Also, does BMCC offer online courses? I'd love to do that for my psychology class. Again, Thank you so much. I'm also looking at Ultrasound Tech Schools as an alternative in case I don't get into BMCC. I think the career is in demand. NYU offers a great program but it's very expensive!! SUNY Downstate in Bklyn also offers the program so I may look into that. Any advice, info in regards to the online programs would be helpful. Also, does it matter if I take CHEM 121 or 118? Is 1 more difficult than the other? Kris

Fall 2010 nursing program @ BMCC
Wow, thanks guys. I really appreciate the advice. It's funny b/c the helpful information that everyone gave me on this site trumps all of the information that BMCC has given me in months, after many questions. I'm going to take your advice and call the Science dept to try and take Chem and Bio at the same time. One last question to everyone. I work full time and I don't want to take more than 2-3 classes this semester. I plan on taking loans and going to BMCC full time if/when I get in, but does anyone know if BMCC offers the Nursing Pre Requisites during the Summer Sessions, such as Psycho or Math? I want to bang out the Science courses and then maybe focus on a Math or Psych this summer? Thank you SO much again!!!! Kris

Fall 2010 nursing program @ BMCC
Hi Guys! I'm so thankful to find this website and thread. I desparately would really appreciate some answers to some of my questions in regards to BMCC. I'm looking to apply to the Spring 2010 Pre Clinical Nursing Program. I already have my degree in Communications from another school, however, I lacked the A's in the needed pre requisites for BMCC Nursing. I just took English 101 and got an A- , is an A- too low to get into the program? I also had NO clue until a friend told me that a Chemistry class needs to be taken BEFORE BIO 425. Is this true? I am really bummed b/c I intended to take Psych, Bio, and Math this coming semester in order to apply for Fall 2010. I'm desparate for answers!!!! Also, I'm not yet a declared Liberal Arts major. Do I need to declare this on my registration date on Jan 27? Thank you and I'd love some answers b/c the BMCC staff is NOT HELPFUL at all, I am constantly transferred, ignored, and/or given incorrect information.
