Here are some things I found very helpful! Pharmacology-I am a visual learner....so the pictures in this really helped. I also remember things by coming up with weird little stories or mnemonics....which this also helps with! Clinicals- This just has a lot of useful information when it comes to assessments and need to know information. Clinicals-This book was a lifesaver for our drug cards and nurses notes. This might sound like a stupid question....but what is everyone's experience with grading scales in your nursing classes? The school I was attending, and am currently trying to get back into, started out with our gen eds and had a normal grading scale of a C being 70% and then second term came around and all of a sudden we were told that since we were starting nursing courses a C is now an 80%. I was just wondering if this is a normal occurrence. -Tina

Hey everyone! I was enrolled in Concorde Career College's RN program here in KC. I did not pass pharmacology therefor I got kicked out of their program. Our class started with 30 people and in one 10-week term they dropped down to 21 people, all over this one class. I re-enrolled and am hoping to start March 23.... I was just wondering what y'alls experience with Pharmacology has been....I just feel like this is such an important subject that I shouldn't have to take it again....I should have passed it the first time! What kind of nurse will I be if I can't pass this vital subject. Also when you took Med-Surge where did you do clinicals? Our school told us we'd be doing our med-surge I clinicals in a nursing home....we all thought that we should be doing them in a hospital, but we were told that being in a hospital wasn't as critical as when you get into med-surge II....what are your thoughts, is this true? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! ~Tina
