Hey everyone! I just got off the phone with UTMB and they said they started sending letters out. Since they have graduation coming up we should expect letters in the mail anytime from now UP UNTILL THE 2ND WEEK OF MAY!! I know it seems for ever away but I thought I would share the info that I just got!

Has anyone from the Katy area got a letter or a packet? I was in the third interview and they said 2-3 weeks but everyone on here from the third interview seems to be getting letters..

Hey Lisa2010! Hey I am from Katy as well and during my interview she was telling me that sometimes it takes TWO DAYS just to get off Galveston Island... So hopefully we will get ours today in the mail! Does anyone know how many people thye accept?

Hey everyone! So my bf called A&M today and they told him that they are sending out the letters this week! They said we should get the letters no later than next week!!!

I know!! Did anyone go to the UTMB interviews? I went yesterday, I think it went great!

She said the GPA varried from people having a 3.0-4.0 but everyone passed each sectio of the HESI... When I went to orientation they said getting in doesn't just depends on the GPA...

So I justed talked to someone who applied last year to the A&M nursing program and they said you have to pass all sections or you will not even be concidered.. I passed every section with an 80% or above, but I wonder how they factor in those hypothetical situation questions? I got around a 800.... does anyone know?

I hope we get our letters soon! I called about a month ago to see when letters would be sent out and I was told end of March early April!! So I think the letters should be coming any day now!!!

LindsayPaige- Thanks! I have been readng that you get your response like two weeks after your interview so that is good! No wait time! Where else did you apply? And have you heard anything back from anywhere? I applied to UT Houston, and a couple of my friends have and they haven't sent anything out except a form showing what classes I have taken... Who knows!?

I'm sorry to here that, when did he get his letter, and if you don't mind me asking... what kind of grades and hesi grades does he have?! Did you go to the interviews for UTMB? I have one on Monday... I'm kind of nervous!

I know I am in the same boat as you! They told us that there is no kind of stats for GPAs or HESI because the program is soo new that there isn't enough information on what the average is. They did say that only 33 people will get into the program and if you do not made a 75 on each required section of the HESI you will not be eligible to attend the school even if your GPA is at a 4.0!! For the wait-listed part they said they do but she did not say how many... She also said if you get wait-listed be prepared b/c a couple girls who got letters turned down the position like 2 weeks b4 the program started and so the people wait-listed had to make living arrangements very fast! Lastly, I called the HSC a couple weeks ago and the lady that answered said we should expect or letters at the end of March or early April depending on how many people they narrow down the positions to. I hoped I relieved a little bit of stress off your shoulders!

lindsaypaige i went to the information session and they said they will not be conducting interviews! it all depends on your hesi scores, science gpa and the letter you sent! i was wondering what do yall have for your hesi scores and gpa? i'm so nervous, but we should be finding out soon!

Hey Ya'll! Is anyone here applying, attending or a graduate of Texas A&M? I was just wondering if anyone else was in my shoes wondering what to expect because it is such a new program. Thanks for your help!!

hey ya'll!! today i took the hesi a2 and i just wanted to give everyone a little advice! i was feeling lost on what and what not to study and had no advice so here i go! first off i passed all the sections and i am just waiting to see if i get in!! math, reading and vocab: i thought these were the easiest sections i scored a 96% on math, a 91% on reading and a 82% on vocab. i bought the elsevier: hesi: admission assessment exam review, 2nd edition, and the book was right on with the test. a&p:this section i scored an 80%, i would go over everything in the book i listed above. on top of that each section i would research and make specific notes because there was some simple questions, but for the most part the questions were pretty specific. after you take each section the computer tells you the score you made, so what i did was take the sections i was most confidnt in so i didn't let a low score bring my focus down. i hope this helps!! good luck!
