  1. I took it online - LOVED it. Easy A. :) If you are ok with math, and have taken an online class before - it's definitely a better option than going to campus. :)
  2. Great thread! I am also finishing up my first semester. I will admit, it has taken me awhile to get the hang of the test questions. LOL!!! But other than that, I have LOVED it. Every minute of it. On my last patient care day in the hospital, my patient said to me "You are going to make a fantastic nurse." That made my entire semester!! I really love it so far. I am trudging thru the summer with Pediatrics and L&D. FUN!!
  3. So I was right? LOL! It's B? My thought process was: If there was MATURE thermoregulation, there would be no heat loss. Heat loss is a byproduct of immature thermoregulation.
  4. You know, I hate those "two right answers, but one is right-er." LOL!!
  5. Our first job as a nurse is to be our patient's advocate. A person in a hospital in the year 2010 should NEVER have unnecessary pain. EVER.
  6. I'm dying to know the answer! I'd say B too, I think.
  7. I will tell you that Micro is really different than any of the other sciences, and IMO - the MOST beneficial!! It really blew my mind. It was a class that required lots of time and work. I'm not sure I would attempt A&P II with it!! That's just a LOT of science. The good news is - a lot of the same material is covered in both (immunology, etc) but -- it's just a LOT of information. Good luck!
  8. Woo hoo! Congrats!
  9. Don't commend me yet! :) I have been slowly working my way thru my prereqs and it has been a huge adjustment for our family, but I got all of them finished up. I start my RN program at Queens University here in Charlotte this coming Wednesday! Hoping nursing school won't completely destroy my family.
  10. A&P I was actually a prereq for Micro where I took the class. :) Micro blew my mind. Both of my A&Ps were like a cakewalk for me, and then I got to Micro (all cocky like, ) and ended up having to REALLY work at the class. It's a LOT of crazy information. Good luck!
  11. I'm not entirely sure where I *WANT* to work yet. I will wait until I go thru all my rotations to really make that distinction. I can tell you that I DON'T want to work in Peds. I have enough kid trauma in my own house. LOL!
  12. Hi Marie! I'm an "older" nursing student, I suppose... :) I will graduate in 2012 (if all goes to plan!) and I will be 34 then. I have three children, and they are just now old enough where time permits me to go back to work and not have to pay my entire salary to their daycare. LOL!!
