  1. not yet but i am pretty sure i will eventually...been a cna two years and am headed for RN= plenty of pukeworthy opportunities
  2. i went through OSU-tulsa to get my certification..most likely the same program because i mailed all of my application stuff to okc. the commitment that was required of us was to work 12 months out of the next 24 in A ltc...didn't matter which one and the months did not have to be consecutive...if you did not meet that requirement you were required to pay back the cost of training got my cert on wed applied on thursday and started work a week later after drug test, background check, etc. still there after two years and will prob work as an lpn with them when i get through school
  3. I work in ltc...we have two that are extremely combative...only one of them has dementia...the other is just plain mean...even her own family is afraid of her can't count the number of times i have been called a f*****g B***h by this woman for trying to change her or take her to dinner or bring her a meal tray. I usually just tell her "why I always thought you were such a lady and ladies don't talk like that". and i have gotten really good at ducking or blocking her swings. This woman is a tiny little thing but strong....i would rather wrestle grizzly bears than deal with those little bitty old ladies;) i don't like it either that we get paid so little to put up with what is basically abuse...but you have to grow a thick skin and just let it roll off
  4. osu medical center in tulsa ....cna wore khaki...looked like big graham crackers
  5. took and passed my cna test on wednesday and was hired on the spot on thursday...took them a week to do background check and schedule a physical with employee health and i got 3 days of orientation with a long time cna then put on my own....been there two years on august 11 2010.
