  1. I will trade with anyone on my floor to not have a trach patient. I hate mucous
  2. i live in upstate new york and one of the local hospitals scooped me up straight out of college! And they offer to pay for review classes for your boards ad tuition reimbursement.
  3. Took me a year before I was able to go home and not do a play by play in my head of every shift, and worry all day before going to work! I still get nervous sometimes and I always ask questions if i am unsure about something. i am lucky to work on a floor where the senior nurses are very helpful
  4. I have been working as an RN on an acute inpatient medical rehab floor for almost 2 year. Its the first nursing job I have had and most days I love it!!! What scares me is when the census goes down we nurses start to get floated and it scares me. I feel like I have lost a lot of my med-surg knowledge and replaced it with rehab nursing knowledge. So I got floated to the ER once and I never want to go back there. I'm not trained to be an ER nurse and I was so scared and uncomfortable Can I refuse to be floated there? Will I get fired if i refuse to float there?
