Christian Science Nurses
I am sorry but rational thought is based on critical thinking. Religion demands its followers to just have faith. I am not stating that your religion is superstition but I am saying that it is not science. Science is made to be debated, it can be wrong and must be challenged with evidence and facts. Science has evolved due to critical thinking. I am sure that we can all agree that as workers in the health profession we cannot diagnose a patient by quoting the bible or any other holy book or withhold any care. :yeah::yeah:Afterward whatever religious conviction or inspiration a person may have is a private matter. I think that if these resources are availble for comforting patinets its normal but it is not meant to be accepted as a science.

Christian Science Nurses
It is better for everyone that religious convictions and health care is kept separate. I would not want to be treated by a doctor or nurse who believes in demon possessions. I know this sounds extreme but we all have the right to have faith that is not based on science. Medicine can only be practiced with rational thought and science. This is a very simplistic thought but I would not want to live and work with irrational co workers.

Fau Traditional Nursing Program
Hi everyone, I wish I knew what Hesi score or GPA we need to be accepted! The minimum is too low because this program is very competitive. My Hesi score is 90 and my GPA is 3.9. Can anyone tell me when we will know if we were accepted to FAU for the summer of 2010? I applied to the traditional BSN program. I keep checking my emails. It might be too early but I can't wait anymore. Has anyone been accepted yet? I saw that last year the accelerated program student knew in February. Has anyone spoken to Maureen Brooks? I dont want to email her because I am sure she must be busy. Thanx and good luck!
