I have had my LVN license for exactly 8 months now. I have filled out over 200 applications and have had 8 interviews with no LVN job to show for it.I serisously would stop going to the LVN school. There are way too many students putting in like 30 grand at private schools to find that it was a waste. Even RNs are suffering. I am moving onto physical therapy

Just got my CA LVN license around Thanksgiving. I know newbies will always have difficulty in the begining because of the lack of experience. I have always been told that generaly speaking that nursing homes is almost the only thing they can do right now. I have been to 30 of them and none are hiring, and of course my chances of a hospital is slim to none. Where are all the LVN jobs right now?

I originally went to to a community college to get my RN, but I did not make it through the 3rd semester. My director however did sign me off to become a LVN, because I met the equivalency set by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychatric Technicians (BVNPT), because of the year and a half that I spent studying to be a RN. But it looks like that my schooling did not completely cover the required time needed in order to get my LVN. I need 5.2 more months in a Med surg setting in order to fulfill the 48 needed in Med Surg. Please help, I just dont know what to do. Can I go to a LVN school to get that time and not go through the entire program or is there a volunteer thing I can do? I am a CNA right now, but its impossible to get a job in a hosital setting right now that would cover the time needed for me. I am just very frustrated that nothing seems to be working out right now. Any help will be very appreciated
