The students from Emory and Mercer are so very invested in their education and so enthusiastic. Good luck!

I can't tell you much but I can tell you that I went to the GANS convention this year and was so very impressed by the students from Emory, enough that I've looked at going there for my BSN and MSN. It's quite competitive, very expensive and in general a great school. Good luck!

I just finished my first semester of the nursing program at NGCSU. What I can tell you about acceptance is this: they mainly look at numbers - SAT scores, TEAS score, GRE. My TEAS score was 88 or 89; my SAT score (from 1997) was 1360; my GRE from my BA in English at a different school was 3.96 but I had taken courses at NGCSU when I first got out of high school that brought my GPA here down. The Registrar's Office hasn't ever actually finished converting it so I don't know what it actually is, but I think it hovers around 3.0. One of my clinical partners said that they had almost 1,000 applicants for our program and they accepted less than 200 (we have 120 or 180 spread out over the 3 campuses, depending on who you ask), so it's definitely competitive, but you can see that my and your situations look fairly similar and I got in. I will say that you don't have to have completed A/P or Med Micro before you start the program, but if you can do any of it first, it will simplify your life.
