  1. Hi, thank you for replying, I don't know if I could even pass that test, it sounds like what I took. I don't interpret poems/literature well. That was why I failed the humanities test-----it was at least 50% interpreting lots of poems .. I don't like poemsI don't understand them.. I have no idea what the author meant by such & such. It's soo vague. Un less I can find a book on what every poem ever written meant...but then; I could never memorize what every line in every poem ever written meant. (smile) I did great on A & P..Micro,etc... but this..... icky...you have to wait 6 mo before retaking a clep test; I might try again.. but I would have to guess at all that interpreting again.
  2. Hello,I took the clep humanities test--via studying from Chancellors--> HORRIBLE. I knew the history of art,lit,etc..book front to back--and studying lots from extra sources online,books,etc.. I read lots of poets,writers,viewed/studied paintings,etc... NOTHING of this was on the test. It was horrible. The test had about 5-7 questions I KNEW for sure, the rest--I knew nothing. It was 85% poetry lines--but from like the middle of a long, long poem..maybe 4 lines from a 10 PAGE poem from Shakespeare or someone.. and they all sounded pretty much alike. You had to tell them what the author meant. I dreaded A & P; Micro much more--but you know what to study for.. this was terrible. Also, it had about 20 tiny B & W copies of paintings--you had to tell what colors were used/styles,etc.... you couldn't tell anything--the reprint/online photo was sort of blurry..You can't retake the test for 6mo.. I may try something else. The worst test I have ever taken in my life. Wasted lots, lots$$$$ buying Chancellors..anyway, goodluck!!
