  1. Hello, I recently just got my nursing license! I graduated years ago and am having trouble finding a job. The jobs available are for people with experience and new grad programs only want those who graduated less than a year ago. Can I still apply to new grad programs? What or how do I apply for jobs?
  2. I am not to sure about all that..if your really curious I would call/email and find out. If your only worried about the summer which is ten weeks...rend a motel room..its pretty cheap..$475-500 staight! No bills nothing! I live off campus.
  3. lol no problem! they do have dorms on campus...I can find out how much the rent is. If not there are a lot of apts near campus as well as few miles...It all depends on what kind of apt you are looking for and within what distance? sharing or alone? All that..but you shouldn't have a problem finding a place to live!!
  4. lol yeah fall 2010!! Where do you live right now? Personally, I think CSUB is a decent school. Its actually really small compared to other campuses. This year is the only year where it seems like a lot of people are enrolled. Other years it seemed so dead on campus lol..A lot of people are transfering to CSUB like yourself so its growing!! Same thing with the town...Bakersfield is expanding believe it or not. If your coming from a bigger city Btown will feel really small to you. I used to live in Long Beach and it took me a while to adjust but over the years I've gotten used to the small town. The campus is located on the nice side of town, a lot of new restuarants, clubs, are in that area. We have a pretty nice mall, few movie theaters, hookah lounge (if you enjoy hookah..lol)..and lots more of the little things like mini golf etc.
  5. Yeah I am a student at CSUB and Patho was one of my last pre-reqs I needed to take. For patho you should know the basic anatomy terms/organs/tissues just general stuff like that. As for physio, yes you should know physio!! Patho is about how to fix something if "something" were to go wrong...so you need to know the basic which is physio! My professor always tells us to refer back to our physio notes/books for a better understanding! Hope that helps!
  6. Your GPA is really good! I wouldn't worry about it too much!! Nutrition and Chem wasn't that bad..I did really well in both! I am taking patho at CSUB . So far its not too bad..we have an exam coming up next week so see how that goes!Where did you take patho??
  7. You dont have to meet with ----- but maybe she can help you out with any questions you may have. Yeah I know what you mean, I really dont want to wait either...maybe I'll go see her and she can tell me what my chances are of actually getting in..lol..I'm just very impatient because I got into a private school and I would start in April but if I can get in at CSUB I rather do that. Are you almost all done with your pre-reqs?? I only have patho left which I am taking right now!! Do you know how the interview process goes? Does everyone go in for an interview then they give you score?? I believe I read that on the site but I could be wrong!!
  8. I completely forgot about the interview part!!! yikes!! I dont think we will hear anything until march atleast because that is when the last TEAS test is. I still need to go! And for anyone who has done the interview please do let us know what kind of questions are asked..who is giving the interview??
  9. yeah i agree...and having to wait to private msg is kinda lame too! is it me or is this site confusing?
  10. I am not sure either since I am new to this site Does anyone know how to send an email to another person without putting their email on here? I am not able to private message as of yet.
  11. Can you send me your email somehow!
  12. solidus_snake i have no idea how to reply back to the message you sent me...but anways..yeah this is the last class i need also..i applied for the spring as well but i didn't get in =( ...its a small world!! my names nital =)
  13. I don't think I can give out my email just yet, so could you give me your email?
  14. Thank You! Few of my friends will be starting the spring 2010 program!! I never thought I would find people from my own school on this website!! =) Best of Luck in the program!
