I cant relate to your fears, but i do understand. But PLEASE, don't give up on your dream. You will encounter patients at one point or another that are not ideal, but as profesionals it is our job to handle every situation to the best of our ability. If need be, maybe seek counseling to help you cope/conquer your fears, but please never give in.

I'm working all holidays, which I don't mind since I work nights. I spend the day with the family, then head to work at 10.

This may not be what you are looking for, but I worked there a few years ago as a CNA in oncology. It was a wonderful experience and great place to work. The nurses were great and really worked as a team.

I too plan to relocate to the Charlotte area, but only to be closer to family that lives in small town SC, where the cost of living is very low, therefore so is the pay. Through my research , I thought that the Charlotte area would be similar to where I am in Texas (LVN starting pay is 23/hr-LTC). Guess I need to dig deeper...
