  1. Hello Sarah, I don't know the answer to your question as it doesn't apply to my case. However, I would suggest coming to the Medical campus in person to see an Admissions Advisor as it is very hard to get through by phone. Good luck! and sorry I wasn't much help
  2. Hello! Has anyone on this thred asked for a private Student loan for living and personal expenses while in nursing school? I would love to hear some feedback. Thanks
  3. Hello Calvana, I am very interested about this clinic you mentioned. It seems that my insurance will not cover the Hep B vaccine or there will be some ridiculous Copay. I will try to reply to other posts, hopefull I will finally gain access to PMing you. Prof P from this morning's Fund class was great. She seems very nice, accessible and willing to help when needed. She gave us all kinds of resources to be sucessful in this class. She also gave us an eye opener for most of us..or at least for me it did! But I am in it to win it, so no going back. Let me know how yours go....Good luck! P.S did you buy your books yet?
  4. Hello Calvana, Sorry I just saw this posting!! I am so excited to start school tomorrow. Do you start Fundamentals in Nursing tomorrow 8 am with Ponce in Medical campus? I am too trying to get the maximun usage of my insurance from work and had a CBC and tb shots, drug test and hopefully the first round of the Hep B vacc. Do you or anyone know about the Health insurance plan offered to students of Miami Dade? I believe the name is Care Access Health insurance. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. I don't have access to PM either, so I am hoping you get this before tomorrow.
  5. Hello Calvana, I am sure you would agree that the last couple of weeks have been nothing but crazy.. I would love to discuss certain things that might concern just the "recently notified" group of people. Feel free to drop me a pm. We could exchange information that at this time I am sure will be very helpful!
  6. Hello ProspectiveMDC, First of all, I would like to thank you for all the helpful information you have been sharing with us :) I had been recently accepted into the Generic FT RN prgm starting Jan 2010 and it has been, literally, recent. I was given a call, not a letter on 12/17 to take my spot by the next morning. Regardless of all the spinning my head has been doing recently, I am very excited. I have been trying to read as many possible posts from these threads, but what I really would love to have now is the list for all the professors you recommend and the ones you don't! This will help me a bit more direction on what to do and who to fight for, since right now most of the classes are full. I thank you in advance for your PM.
