NSLIJ ED Fellowship 2012
Hello Canny, I have not heard anything from nslij yet, i know that the program starts july 23, 2012 and i might have been one of the first to interview. I was not able to get a timeline from the hr recruiter on when i was going to hear back from her. The interview lasted 30 minutes i believe, it was brief and straight to the point. I have an offer in place from another institution but would love to do the ed fellowship. Either way i am down for what ever comes next. Good luck and keep us updated.

They do their appointments via email, did you get your email, if so how was your interview?

NSLIJ ED Fellowship 2012
They are considering A.S. degrees and give you two years to enroll and 5 to complete. They expect that you know how to do a physical, verbal head to toe assessment. She is going to ask you about a patient that stood out in your clinical experience.how would you involve the family members and staff into helping the patient feel comfortable. key points are customer service. Good luck.

St Pauls School of Nursing 2010 Acceptance
I actually received a call from Ms. J..., (a SPSN member) today. According to her school will be starting january 25, 2010 as previously posted. They will out of the office from this day till next year., some members might pop in and out of the office between then. Orientation packages its unclear yet to when they will be sent but most likely the first weeks of January, she was not specific. The information packets will include the spring semester schedule. She did mention to enjoy your holiday with your love ones and get some rest, 'cause its going to be tough. Well I am ready for anything, Show me the process! Nursing process that is! Books on my list to buy, before entering schools are.... Saunders NCLEX review, 4th edition and possible NCLEX RN Review made easy.. I hope you guys liked the update. check you out lata...peace Eliu

New RN Student
No there isn't a bridge program in New York unless it's in Excelsior College. I might have to repeat micro biology, there is a possibility they might not approve it. The program I am attending is in St. Paul's School of Nursing in Queens.

Hi all Medic8205 i'm also a medic who is planning to start school next month and also planning to work full time. besides the study guide what else would you say helped you. From what i hear, there is alot of material to read. i am looking to make 4x4 study cards to process the information better. i think that helps alot. I have most of my pre reqs completed and for the most part i only have to take the core nursing classes. I am focused and determined to tackle this the only way i know how to, and that is to study hard and communicate with my preceptors. Thanks for in advance for the your input.

I Don't know if this information my help anyone get an idea or time frame on when orientation and school might start but it help me. this information was given to me by fellow accepted student. i hope it helps. ---------- Orientation will be held on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 20, 2010 @ 4-430pm (whenever classes begin). First day of class is MONDAY, JANUARY 25, 2010 If you already taken PSYCH & A&P1 and only need nursing classes, your schedule will consist of classes M-TH. M/W = 4:30pm-830pm approx [she said these are our late days] T/TH= depending on the lab section that you are signed up for, it can either be: 4:30pm-6:30pm [students who are taking a&p1 will automatically be in this lab b/c their lab class is immediately after] 7:30pm-9:30pm [*]7 weeks Clinicals will begin in the later half of the semester, either on T or TH. 430-1030pm. ---------- I hope this helps. =]

St Pauls School of Nursing 2010 Acceptance
lol that is painful. i've not been waiting that long though. But damn i am eager and ready to start taking care of business. I sent you a friends request, i think that in the mean time we should just keep the emotions alive until that important day of orientation. i think by that time we'll be a tighter group if we keep talking to each other. Do you have all your pre reqs? i have all of them but there's a chance that i might have to retake Micro but hopefully not. Again congrats on your acceptance AP726
