Oh my. Unfortunately I'm having the same horrible experience of not being able to land an interview and being rejected for lack of experience. I graduated in December and took my NCLEX (which I passed) exactly a month ago. My husband says it's too soom for me to start panicking since I've techniquely been looking for the past three weeks. However, it's SO frustrating to be rejected for lack of experience because I can't get it if I'm not given a chance. I guess hospitals aren't able to spend the additional funds to train new grads because of...that's right, the economy. I feel like I'm on a timeline and I'm falling behind. I need to get my year experience in med-surg to get to ICU and get my year experience there so I can be eligible for the master's program I'm interested in. I'd like to be done with my education requirements soon so I can dedicate my time to work and my family, whom I've already sacrificed so much time with. My kindergartener will be applying to college by the time I'm done at the rate things are going.
