Hi Bill I don't know if you still use this site but I wanted to ask you if you decided to attend UMB accelerated nursing program and you're experiences with it. Are you happy with the program? How many of your classes are online? Where do you have your med-surge clinicals?

no maybe i am wrong, i don't know much about simmons process. they must have meant that they made a decision on my application? sorry..

i also applied to simmons and have not heard anything. i called today and they said that decisions have been made and if they letters have not been send out yet they should go out this week or next.

I applied also. Does anyone know someone who is in/graduated from the accelerated program at UMass boston? I am curious if people are happy with the program? During the open house they made the program sound very intense (for example having no time off)

is that how much people in this program have taken out in the past? i know everyone's living expenses are different so it may be hard to generalize. oxo- mgh 2010 is another thread.

I have not heard anything. I was assuming I didnt get anything.

I think that since the deposits were due before applicants heard from other schools, that people on the waitlist could get some spots when people who deposited decide to go somewhere else. For example umass and simmons I do not think have sent out letters yet. So my guess is that some people on the waitlist may even find out right up until class starts (umass does not give out acceptance letters until the last week in March). Does that make sense :)

Did anyone else get an email today from financial aid letting us know we will hear this weekend?

I was also wondering if anyone has heard anything about how big of a class they are planning to have this year.

i know there is another thread regarding the 2010 class for mgh accelerated bsn, but has anyone else been accepted? i am looking how much they suggest to take out for living expenses, it almost doubles the cost of attendance. is it better to just wait until we get back our financial packages? i don't really know what the next step is. also i filed the 2008-2009 fasfa, do you think we will have to do the new one, i don't have my w-2 even back yet for this year.

I was accepted also and will send my deposit. I feel the same way, it's unfortunate that all the schools have different deadlines and notification dates. It's OK though. Goodluck to ppl on the waiting list!

They were closed last week from what I saw? I tried to drop off a transcript and they were closed. So I don't know how they sent them out? I may be wrong. Did anyone else get an email about financial aid options? They said they sent it to applicants? I wonder if that means accepted applicants?

Where did you find out about January 5th? Also for umass accelerated, are you talking about the one that starts this summer? Are your friends their now or were they accepted for the class starting in 2010?

Good idea. I am applying to umass boston as well, I have not submitted my application yet. I didnt have that hard of a time with the pre-reqs being different yet, other than having to take growth and development for umass. Is this your first year applying?

I applied for the 18 month program starting in July. I am not sure when they will let us know. Whats the difference from the 2 year one? Has anyone talked to students about how many of the classes are online vs. in class?

Hi! I read the same thing about finding out after December 19th in the last years and then how some people do not hear until almost March? I am nervous I feel like there are soo many applicants.
