SIUE CRNA Interview for Spring 2011 Admission
Chrsbr, You need to decide which program is your number one choice. Does the school in Minnesota require you to pay a deposit? If so, if i was you i would go ahead and pay it as its hard to get to crna schools! You don't want to regret later...Then if people drop out of SIUE and they happen to call you, you can forget about Minnesota and attend SIUE if that was your first choice of schools. You'll just just have to lose the deposit. A lot of people do that. I wish you all the best in your decision.

CCRN test: how bad is it really?
Vecoroniumlady, Thanks for the reply! Its weird that your last reply to me posted before my message to you! I will keep on doing those questions, and i know i can do this, is just that its de-heartening after failing! I know it should be easier the second time around because i will have kinda similar questions, bad thing is what if i second guess myself? What if am like, 'maybe i should not have picked this answer the first time around? I wish they used to give you the answers for the questions after you're done then you would know which questions were right or wrong! Thanks again for your help. Shix.

CCRN test: how bad is it really?
Vecoroniumlady, Thanks for the reply! I have listened to laura gasparis cd and know it inside out. I also took notes so i have all teh content. Pass ccrn cd questions are much harder and hopefully that will give me an edge on teh exam. P.S I really wanted to know whether you got similar questions the second time around???? I had a lot of questions about ALI (acute lung injury). Let me know about the similar questions. Congratulations on getting into crna school. I have already interviewed at one place that did not require ccrn, now just waiting for the letter in a couple of weeks :) If you dont mind me asking, what schools were you accepted in? I wish you all the best and thanks again ofr the reply. Shix.

CCRN test: how bad is it really?
Vecoronium lady, I sent you a private message. I took the CCRN yesterday 9/15 and failed! I also got an 85 and passing score is 89, yuck! I had to sit down at the testing place after i saw my results, thought i was going to pass out! Was/still very discouraged, but today i woke up with a new attitude. I am planning to call AACN and apply to take it again while everything is still fresh in my mind. Could you please tell me if the questions you got the second time around are similar????? How did you prepare differently the second time around??? Thanks! Sad girl

SIUE CRNA Interview for Spring 2011 Admission
I had an interview too at SIUE. I asked the director about the letters and he said it was going to take a couple of weeks. I am thinking maybe its because this year they interviewed more people?? Last year they interviewed 45 people but this year they increased to 60!!! 5 of my former workmates got accepted last year and they did get their letters after 2 weeks. I wish everyone an acceptance letter :)

ALL. Congratulations to everyone who got a interview letter! Unfortunately i got one but it was a sorry to inform you letter. Don't know how they pick prospective students because my STATS are GPA of 3.7, CCRN, ACLS, PALS, excellent letters of recommendations and 2 years working in a neoru/trauma/med/surg ICU. For those picked for interviews, could you please share your STATS? Thanks. Again Congratulations! Judy.

Union University CRNA Interview
They really took their time to send the letters out. At least now the wait will be over and we'll know if its a 'yay', or 'nay' as AU RN puts it :) WISHING EVERYBODY ALL THE BEST! Judy.

Union University CRNA Interview
Nichole, You have family in Tennessee or just applying to schools all over like me? I have never been to Washington but i hear it rains alot? Maybe we can be classmates :). Saying a prayer for you.... AU RN, Nothing yet. It seems Union is taking their sweet time. I was very anxious at first but now somehow i have learned to be patient because it wasn't doing me any good! Wish you all the best. Judy.

Union University CRNA Interview
SeaCCRN, Thanks for replying to my thread. I was getting nervous there for a minute. I know what you mean about mail, i have never been one to check my mail daily but its now become a routine! Are you from Tennessee?? I read the chat about sending interview letters late April too, but then when i spoke to the nursing coordinator at union she made me beleive they send the interview letters sooner than that! I guess i will try and be patient, and hopefully its really true what they say that patient pays :). Maybe i will see you in the inteview:) Judy

Union University CRNA Interview
@ geniva 1234, haven't heard anything yet, anxiously waiting and praying for an interview letter. I know they said they were going to send out the letters sometime in April after the deadline so we have like 2.5 wks to go! Will say a prayer for you :) Judy.
-
Union University CRNA Interview
@Geniva,Yes, deadline is up! I talked to the nursing cooordiantor of Union and she said we'll be notified of interviews sometime in April, then the interviews will be in May. It all seems so fast, which i would rather have anyway as i hate waiting. There some schools where you have to wait forever! Wishing everyone all the best!

Union University CRNA Interview
@ geniva1234, hope you were able to overnight your application. I am nervous too, its the first school i am applying to, but am more nervous about the interviews! I will also be applying to another school here in Missouri but i would rather attend Union! Are you from Tennessee?? My overall GPA is 3.7, 2.5 years experience in neuro/med/surg/trauma ICU, ACLS, planning to take CCRN because the school am applying here in Missouri require it, agh! I wish you all the best! @ Manurse715, you must be fromTenneessee as you went for the preview day? How was it? I knew they didn't require GRE and that is one of the reasons am applying there. I tend to think that GRE is overrated! Am glad you liked the environment. Hopefully we'll all get in! Wish you all the best. Judy. I went to a Preview Day at Union's campus. They said they didn't really care about the GRE, which I thought was weird. They said they look at your last 60 hrs GPA and what you made in Anatomy, physiology, micro and stats. I really liked the environment there in Jackson and the feel the campus had. I don't know it I'll get in, but I'll try. Mar 27, 2010 02:56 AM
