  1. 1) i think that as we move out of the recession, the demand for nurses will go up. Ive spoken to very old RN and they have said that this has happened countless times before where they will have periods when hospital are short of nurses and they cant find enough nurses to hire and periods of saturation, where there are too many nurses to hire. Find and talk to very old RNs 2) RNs typically work 12 hr/3days a week for 3 weeks out of the month and 1 week 12hr/4days out of the month (thats 90% of RNs) CRNA can work 12hr/ 3days a week, 10 hr/4days a week or 8 hr/5days a week NP typically work 8 hrs/ 5days a week PAs typically work 8hr/5days a week 3) im an RN i like the hours and days, i spend more days at home, decent pay, 4 weeks vacations and be 6 weeks if you use holiday time wisely 4)PA are always (by law)work with a doctor and Dr has to cosign prescription NP are more independent in that aspect 5)daily task take patient vital signs, do wound care, monitor patient on ventilatior, monitor pt drips, running codes (not everyday but when it needs to be done), fighting with residents over orders ect
  2. Well, i got into CRNA school and my grades were close to yours too. GPA 3.8 for nursing school verbal score 450 math 610 written 4. my GPA prior to nursing school was 3.4 and i got in. my previous major was biology. Anyways, i got 2 1/2 years in NICU(neonatal ICU although they dont accecpt that) and 1 years and 8 months adult ICU when i got accepted. So get a good experience. if you cant get into an adult ICU right away go to Pacu then after 1 year go to an adult ICU. Good luck

  8. 5 years is the limit for the GRE and why do you want to start in medsurge? why not start in Pacu instead or apply to a hospital that take new grad into an ICU like a hospital that offer critical care internship. I know alot of CRNAs who got in after only 1 year of nursing experience.
