  1. I hope your move this weekend is going well. I moved to Baton Rouge last week. Email me if you need anything (help finding places around town) I know thw city farely well. My email address is [email protected] Take care, Emily
  2. 2 months until school starts! Did you receive the book list and invitation to the party after orientation? I am so excited about starting last night I worked my last shift of my travel assignment! FREEDOM! Any I hope all is well for you, I can't wait to meet you! Take care. Emily Bodin
  3. Hi Holly, I am going to sign to stay another 4 weeks in Philadelphia then who knows what I'll do between July-AUgust. I think I am going to rent a room from an old roomate who owns a house a few miles from school, since my boyfriend plans to move to Dallas to start working it will be just me in Baton Rouge. I plan to move in with her August 1st. I can't wait to meet you! Good luck with the big move! Emily
  4. Wow you took all those classes since May 2008? Good for you! I hope they transfer... when will you know if so? I wish I would have taken a few more classes but I enjoyed my free time! Oh an where do you plan on living? I need to start looking into housing soon
  5. I took statistics..... have you heard of any other classes we should take over the summer? Good luck with moving...... that is the least exciting part for me!
  6. I plan on moving in June or July... hoping to find the perfect place to rent(my current travel assignment ends May22 so I am taking the summer off). My family lives about 70 miles from Baton Rouge. NO kids just me moving to Baton Rouge. Emily
  7. I graduated from LSUHSC in May 2008 and worked in New Orleans for a while.... Currently a travel assignment in Philadelphia until this summer! I am very excited about moving back to Baton Rouge (I went to undergrad there for 2 years). What about you? I am also looking forward to meeting you!
  8. I was so heart broken. OLOL is closer to my family. I still don't know if I made the right decision! Good luck to you!
  9. where did you decide? I choose OLOL as I had such a wonderful interview and the program seemed more front loaded which I liked. I was also accepted to TWU but declined as my clinical site was in Alexandria, I'd rather move to Baton Rouge.
  10. My house will be for rent in april/may. I will be going to OLOL, I liked the CRNA program there better. Anyway about the house probably $1000/month 2bedroom 1 bath, everything very new washer/dryer/ dishwaser, marble counter tops, wood floors, gardern bath tub, covered parking, alarm system. I love this house and would stay if I weren't moving to Baton Rouge. The people that own it are great landlords, if you have a problem they fix things quick as they live nearby. It is in an area called Lakeview, which is in Orleans Parish..... not a bad commute, I actually went to undergrad at LSUHSC and average commute time at 8am was 15minutes. The area is great, close to grocery stores and pretty centrally located. Only complaint is the roads are bad (the city has started paving them),but you've got to choose your battles. Let me know if I can offer more information. GOOD LUCK!
  11. i really wanted to be at baylor! olol is a small program 32 students, based out of baton rouge...most of the clinical is there, the program director is from twu so i think that the program looks similar to twu. lsu much more integrated your in the or your second semester...if you learn better "hands on" it may be a better option, it is only 4 months longer. where are you from? what location is best for you? they are all great programs with different strengths in my opinion. let me know what you decide to do! congrat on getting baylor!
  12. I can't decide what program is best. TWU or OLOL. I was assigned to Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria,La clinical site for TWU. I am currently a Louisiana resident but I was looking forward to moving to Texas... not to come back to Lousisana. Any one have any input.... about TWU or OLOL programs? Thanks!
  13. LSU was short about 20 min with 3 interviewers 2 faculty and 1 student. I would say it is less clinical than TWU. The asked what kind of pts I take care of, what kind of gtts I used and how some of them work. They also asked me to speak about how I think critcially. Then the typical what do you want to be a CRNA, do you understand time comitment. Have you interviewed elsewhere? Good Luck!
  14. wow this is ironic, my boyfriend lives in pa and i considered applying there too! but he plans to move south soon. i am from louisiana. but i hope to be placed in clinical in dallas/ fort worth so i only have to move once. good luck on your baylor interview, i am done interviewing i did lsu, olol in baton rouge and twu all went very well, now decisions!
  15. Congratualations! THe Saulet is nice or anywhere in the Warehouse district is nice......depends on how much you are willing to spend. Lakeview is nice(be sure to buy rent insurance) not far from LSU that where I live when I was in undergrad there. Good luck in finding a place.
