  1. I took my essay last Saturday. I was an alternate last year hoping to get in this year. Just wondering who's with me?
  2. So went last week with my friends to turn in their nursing applications. The lady said that they already had 3 people that declined Chemeketa nursing program because they got into another school. So guess that means I'm number 6 instead of 9. She said they were waiting for 18 more people to turn in their application still. So there's still hope! Good luck to all I hope I see you in the fall!
  3. Hey just wondering shoes on the Chemeketa alternate list I am number 9. Was also wondering if anyone's heard of anyone not going to go to Chemeketa if they got in. I'm guessing for all that are on the alternate list we wont hear if we are in or not till after August 2nd.
  4. i agree with r (kerry) n, it would be a great idea to talk to an adviser at school they can usually point you in the right direction. i am currently trying to get into nursing school myself it is really hard!!!! really competitive you have to have a strong gpa to even have a change i have a 3.9 and that not even good enough!!! but i have had to take some classes over again, if you get a better grade in the class after you take it over the better grade will override the one that you had. hope this helps!!! keep up the good work i know is hard but i know it will be worth it!!!
  5. yes if you are inactive as a cna for 24 months straight then they make you take the class all over again. i don't know why they do this!!! probably because they think that things have changed in the 2 years that you have been out??? i don't know, all i know is it's a pain in the butt to retake it all over again. but like i said this is the laws here in oregon. also sometimes if you just reapply they don't look into if you have enough hours to keep your license. i know lots of people that don't get the required amount of hours and every time they apply the state just renews it.
  6. it's always a good idea to check with the board of nursing in your state, i live in oregon and had to re take the class because here it says that if you are out of work for 24 months straight then you have to retake the class and do everything all over again which is a totally pain in the ass!!!! but if i would have worked at all during the 2 years then i could have just taken a test!!! most likely you will just have to take a test. hope this helps!!
