I don't know what state you are in, but here in Rochester, New York they are begging for LPNs. I work at a nursing home and always have full time and part time openings on just about every shift.
We have feeding aides where I am working and that one extra hand is a big help to us when they are there. I am on a dimentia unit in a long term care facility and it seems like every day there are more people that need that help to finish their meal. LPNLew
I feel for you. I have been in long term care for a while and have been working on a Dimentia unit for 3 1/2 years now and it seems like when I come in at 3PM the day shift is too busy to do things because they are out having cigarettes. As bad as it seems now you will have your good days. And be thankful there are people like you that care and make it better.
