Discouraged..
hii, Thank you for your response. The thing is that I didn't do very well in my core science classes. Two C's and 1 B and that comes to a 2.3 GPA, most community colleges want at least a 2.5... so I feel like I can't even go to a JC.. and even if I somehow was able to apply.. even JC's have waiting lists these days..

Discouraged..
Hey guys! So I passed the boards this past July, and my original plan was to finish a couple of pre reqs, which I did, and apply to an RN program. I recently decided, I don't think I want to pursue my RN, and want to build my career as an LVN, and eventually become a DSD, and then run my own nursing agency. Since I decided this, I have been looking for a job like crazy but have no luck because I am a new grad with no experience. This is a little bit discouraging, although I am being patient. The reason it's discouraging is because it makes me think " Should I just go back to school to an RN program?, did I make a mistake of not doing so, Do I have a good future as an LVN for the rest of my life?" As we all know getting into any RN program is so so tough nowadays, especially in California (where I'm from), so I wanted to do the program privately at the school I did my LVN training from. BUT, they are SOO SOOO SOO SOOO SOOO expensive. Although you complete your RN in 8/9 months... is the 45,000 really worth it? I could use that money to start my own Agency in the future, and I still need to repay my loans from my LVN program. AHHHH... I just need to know whether I do have a career being an LVN forever, as well as being an entrepreneur. It really sucks! I'm 25, and time is just passing by... any feedback would be amazing. Thanks guys

Nursing Agency
I'm from the bay area, you know honestly.. I haven't thought about much, it's just an idea that came to mind, and I wanted to find out more information about it. But going online hasn't really helped much.. I'm not sure if I need a license, or how to even get started.. I just want all the info possible on how to start it, how to market, everything! What's S.C.O.R.E business?? Thanks so much for your reply !!

Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Written Test for LVN
heyy, so to apply for the job I went to http://agency.governmentjobs.com/santaclara/default.cfm?action=jobs&sortBy=&sortByASC=ASC&bHideSearchBox=1&PROMOTIONALJOBS=0&TRANSFER=0&SEARCHAPPLIED=0&JOBTERMID=26026,24417,7730,7742,7723,7737,7734,7736,7735,7731,7727,7746,7724,7738,7740,7739,7729,7744,7725,7743,17004,7733,7728 and there the LVN job was listed, but I don't see it anymore. Anyways, if you already completed your application, they will take a look at it and if you meet all the requirements for the job, you will receive an email from them asking you to take the test, they provide you with the time, location, and date you would take it. =]

I need help with nclex pn
Hii, My biggest advice is to practice questions and READ THE RATIONALES, know why you got the question wrong or even right. I used flash cards, and that helped me also. If you give me your email, I can send you a study guide also. =]

NCLEX PN stopped at 205 questions, PVT-- good pop up
Also guys I wanted to add.. So i posted before that I got the letter saying I passed but that my licensing process was delayed, well I called BVNPT and the lady said It probably isn't a big deal and that I should have my official letter very soon, about a week, or less later, I had the OFFICIAL pass letter =] After I got the letter, a couple days later I actually drove to Sac. ( I'm from Cali) to pay my fee and also get my temp license. It was so quick, and I got the temp license right away, just make sure you take your candidate report. About a week later, I got my official license in the mail. The process was very very fast for me, and I honestly think it's because I drove to Sac to pay the fee. I highly recommend, whoever lives in Cali to drive there and do everything in person because if you send your fee through the mail, sometimes it takes months to hear back. There was this girl there who said it had been almost a year since shes graduated and passed the NCLEX and sent her fee in the mail but didn't hear back. So PLEASE guys if you can, drive there. It is SO worth it. Good luck to you all
