Career Decision: What would you do?
I have been an nurse for approximately 2.5 years, with the entirety spent in a Medical-Surgical/Coronary Care ICU. I began a new job in December 2013 in a Medical-Intensive Coronary Care Unit (MICCU). I was under the impression that the acuity would be higher and I would learn more. Unfortunately, this has been the case. I have not really acquired any significant new skills and feel I am stagnating. However, a few days ago, I was given an interview date for a busy Coronary Care Unit that my friend works in. If I were to secure this position , I would go from a unit that sees maybe 2 balloon pumps all year, to one where they are commonplace. Additional experience would include CRRT, Swans, old LVADs, post-op day 2-3 open hearts and more experience with vasoactive gtts. As a bonus (potentially), benefits, educational reimbursement, and pay would be significantly better. The reason I feel a bit torn is three-fold: I have only been at my current position for 4 months (do not want to burn a bridge), I would be leaving some great coworkers that I have recently befriended, and last and least significant, I would go from a 1 mile walk to a 30-35 minute drive. Yet, I know I would certainly get valuable experience if this opportunity is realized. What would you do in this situation or how do feel about it? Thank you for any input!

Working And Going to School Full Time UW-GB RN-BSN
Hi, I will be graduating nursing school this spring with an ADN. I was planning on working full time and going to school full time. Is that unwise or is it feasible? I have began looking around for schools and have been considering the online option. Is anyone currently attending or graduated from U Of Wisconsin Green Bay online RN-BSN program? How did you like it? Lots of papers? How long did it take you? Thanks

Online RN-BSN and CRNA School Questions
Hi, I will be graduating from a traditional brick-and-mortar school this spring with an ADN. I'm going to be taking an ACLS class sometime around or before graduation. I'm hoping to start working right away, but would also like to continue my education without taking any significant time off. I have been considering online RN-BSN programs, like Excelsior, but do not know if this will hurt my chances of getting into CRNA school. If not, what are some of the better or faster programs available? Thanks all!

Best online ADN to BSN program and other questions
Hi, I'm getting my ADN from an accredited college this spring and am thinking about doing an online RN-BSN program. I was wondering if you still recommend Excelsior College for an aspiring CRNA? Also, which CRNA program is your friend in? Thanks for any input.

Accepted to CRNA school w/ Online BSN?
Hi, I will be graduating with my ADN this spring:yeah:. I plan on starting to work asap, but would also like to be enrolled in a bachelor's program no later than the fall. I've been exploring my options, and more and more I have been considering online programs. Since I plan on attending CRNA school in the future, I was wondering would acquiring a BSN online, though from an accredited school, hurt my chances of being accepted into a CRNA program? I greatly appreciate any input. Thanks all!
