  1. MM2794 Just wanted to let you know that I am a graduate of Tri-C LPN program and was talking with some Parma hospital RN students. They told me that they got all thier books from Ohiolink for free. You have to order early, and they deliver them to the college where you pick them up. Just thought id pass that along. Also, where did you apply for the Parma Hospital program? No jobs out there for LPN's , guess Ill be moving on quicker than I thought. Would like to get into that program, as I live very close by. Good Luck!!
  2. Yes, I feel the same way. Want do something with what I know, and this "housewife"/"jobseeker" role I have been living to is getting old quickly. I need a job that pays!!
  3. Thats great! :yeah:I have considered this, but didnt know if you could work as a STNA after your licensed. I have heard that you cant, but am not sure. There are a whole lot more STNA jobs out there than LPN jobs. Still applying, but openings are very limited. Im surprised that you havent found anything, there seem to be so many openings in the Akron area, but I guess that doesnt really mean that thier hiring! :imbar
  4. Tri-c has a bridge, but you need 1 year on a full time job as an LPN. I too am newly licensed. No jobs here, which is going to make it hard to finish RN. Huron has a program that doesnt require 1 yr of work experience, but more pre-req requirements. Good Luck
  5. Julz, do you know if an LPN in Ohio can work as an STNA? I have heard that you cannot if you are licensed. Is this true? I am licensed LPN, but cant find work in Cleveland area. Am considering STNA until I can find other. Any advice?
  6. I hear you!! Me too! I got my license (LPN) in Oct. also, and all Im getting is Im not qualified. Are they kidding!! Why did I go to school all this time!! Its very frustrating. :angryfire I live in Cleveland Oh, and I know the economy is bad and all but this is rediculous. No matter what you have, they up the annie. Now they want med ceftifications. I cant even get an STNA job here because they dont allow PN's to work them after licensing. I feel like I should have just done STNA, at least id have a job.
  7. Really?!! Im finding it hard to even talk to someone! What am i doing wrong? Graduated Aug. 09' and passed nclex Oct. , cant find much to even apply for. Any suggestions?
  8. I feel your pain. Graduated in Aug. 2009 in Cleveland Ohio and am actively looking. Thinking about taking STNA job just to get in somewhere. Cant get anyone to talk to me. Need to use my skills before I forget everything!! 3 months ago there were tons of jobs, now nothing! Looking for LTC job, anyone have any suggestions? Not sure if applying for STNA will look bad since im already licensed.
