UTA PMHNP Spring 2022
have you started the program already? I spoke directly to the program instead of the advisors and received very different information. I wanted to confirm with those who have started if it is indeed hybrid. I was informed the program is typically 3.5 years if your doing a full load each semester. I was informed some courses are only offered once a year and has caused some students to sit out until they are offered again. for the core psych classes, you meet generally once a month but this is based on the teaching format of the instructor. I was told this is brick and mortar program and hybrid is not guaranteed, and at the discretion of the teacher for the specific course on how they would like to teach it (online, inperson, hybrid). for the MSN portion, you meet twice a week if your unable to register a MSN course that is in the online format. I have a friend who started in the online FNP program, and is switching over to the pmhnp program. they only allow one switch, and this was how she was able to achieve doing the MSN courses all online. any information will be greatly appreciated from those who has started the UTA PMHNP program and if you were able to register all your courses either online or hybrid.

University of Phoenix FNP program
my question would be if university of phoenix assists in finding the clinicals needed to complete the program or is the student on their own in finding clinicals.

National University Accelerated BSN
there was a special on a news channel about the shortage of spaces in traditional universities and how there are not enough funds to support the demand. yes, it is like getting into medical school. the special even broke down the job outlook as far as graduating from a private school vs public state program.....there is no difference as far as joboutlook in california. and for the record, I personally know two new graduates from SDSU who cant find jobs but I believe its because they have no background at all in healthcare. california has one of the worst nursing shortages to the point where they are bringing in nurses from the philipines and canada. I choose private school over public programs during this budget crisis and where more money is available at private schools. Im looking forward to only stuggling for 22 months vs 4 years and by the way, due to the budget crisis, the average graduating time is 5 years due to cuts of available classes. I have worked with nurses from kaplan and from SDSU at hospitals and they both hold the same positions in hospitals.

National University Accelerated BSN
I GOT IN FOR JAN 2010 COHORT IN SANDIEGO!!! im excited. a while back I came here asking questions on what I needed and what to look for on getting excepted and I received no replies. im here to represent the students who have to work fulltime and goto school fulltime ALL THE TIME that it is possible. My teas score was only 72...my gpa was 3.2 and scored a 4 out of 5 on my essay. I believe the most important thing to do is focus on getting no less than a B in your science courses, write a heart felt essay that does not start with "i always wanted to be a nurse" (so typical) and include all your background in healthcare as it is optional but makes your application strong. GOOD LUCK and it is possible to get in without having a 3.5 gpa, 85 and up teas score, etc etc.

I am extremly nervious. I was on my way to a 3.5 gpa when I received an average grade in my last class which brought my gpa down to a 3.0. tomorrow I submit my application to national university bsn nursing program and im nervous because of the drop in my gpa. does any one know the gpa average acceptance into their program?
