Everyone, I passed my cna test about a month ago and i still have not recieved anything...Am i supposed to get a piece of paper that says i'm licensed? I got my papers and email that said i passed and everything but nothing besides that. Thanks. Any advice would help. -Marissa

Hi, My name is Marissa, 17, almost out of highschool! lol I took my state board test for my skills test for the second time this past Friday and passed! I am very excited. I understand that everyone has to pay their dues but I was hoping to get a job at the local hospital (small town, only one where i live). How do I go about this? I know places would like for a CNA to have prior experience, especially a hospital. Any advice? Thanks for reading! I'm excited to read up on your opinions! -Marissa:)

1). Didn't you bathe patients of the opposite sex during clinicals? I think if you love your job it shouldn't matter, i mean, someones gotta take care of these people, right? It shouldn't take long for you to be okay with it, it's part of the job and there people too. 2) I would say it depends on the staff whether there going to be nice to you or not. Everyones personalities are different and some people just may not like you. It goes the same with residents, some are nice and some are just down right rude. 3) I'm sure residents will be completely fine with you being 18 and a male. You couldn't really tell though since everyone is different. 4) I know some facilities will let you work all day saturday and sunday so you can go to school during the week. 5) Employers cant judge you by sex, race, gender, religion, your views on a certain matter or anything else for that matter. you should be fine. -Marissa:)

Okay so my boyfriend has had cancer three times during his life, when he was 3, 7, and 13. He had acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He's had full-body radiation and several types of chemo. Vincristine and Methatrexate i know are low-risk. He's also been treated with Ifosfamide and Busulfan which are high-risk, meaning bigger chance of making him sterile. Both of his kidneys failed and he had a kidney transplant, he's also had a cord blood transplant, which he thinks makes his immune system pretty much new and he basically has the immune system of a 12 year old when he is really 23. We have been puzzled for a while now wether he is going to be able to have children now cause of the chemo and full-body radiation. He is going in for a sperm count but we're just worried. Hello once again Does anyone know of any really good and cheap ADN programs in the denver-aurora area of colorado. I'm planning on moving there the Fall of 2010 I've already looked at the ADN program at the Community College of Denver which is fairly good but I'm just looking to see if there is anything else Any information is very appreciated -Marissa

Is there that much of a difference between the two besides pay and how you need your BSN to get your MSN? And do you need your ADN to get your BSN? I wouldn't think so..but i'm not quite sure... any answers would be appreciated thanks (: -Marissa

I"m going to school right now to get my CNA i am only 16 but turn 17 next month so can i take my state board test if i am under 18? or do i have to wait another year to do that?? I REALLY dont want to wait! does anyone know? Thanks. -Marissa
