  1. Don't know if we are in class together but good luck to you! You have a full load to start! Let us know how it is going once class starts. Joan
  2. Lisa, Thanks for the info. It's been a long time since I've written a paper. THat sounds interesting RE: help online formatting APA papers to upload to Microsoft. I will check it out on line. So SOC is under a different format. Tough enough to learn one! I have been on the tutorials all week for Angel. There is one for APA as well that my instructor wanted us to get a head start with. I established a hotmail acct. through my.chamberlain.edu. See if you can get a hold of me there, and I will send you my main e-mail address so we can keep in touch! Joan Lovler
  3. HI Lisa, I just started with the one course- wanted to see how it went. THe whole on line thing is a bit daunting for me, so I am trying to navigate it all. THat would be great if you can bump it up to 3 courses. You'll finish up quickly that way. Cultural diversity will probably be next semester for me. Joan
  4. Hi Lisa, ACLS is really great to have. I have to recertify this January. It is the same here- this is the whole reason for getting my BSN. THe hospitals are looking for more on the resumes, even in hospital postings. I see positions posted that I can't apply to because I dont have the qualitfications. I don't know how I am going to fit it in, but I want to study for my CCRN as well. Can't do everything! We are in separate classes! Let's stay in touch anyway! I enjoy hearing from you. We can compare notes!! Joan
  5. Thanks for the feedback Sue- Much appreciated! Joan
  6. Hi Lisa! Good to hear from you. Congratulations on graduating from Excelsior- that couldn't have been easy. Ditto for passing the boards! I have two daughters 14 and 17, so it was much the same for me- I saw a window open where I thought I could handle online course work. After much searching, I too choose Chamberlain. Liked the thought of 8 week classes. I need only the upper level nursing courses and economics. Have alot of college courses from my past studies. I am sure it will go quickly. I was out of nursing for 14 years if you can believe it. Took a refresher course 3 years ago and have been working ever since. WOrk at a large State Univ. hospital near home, on a CT ICU- Basically recovering open heart patients out of the OR. I love it. One more week! I'm real excited. I didn't see a Lisa on the course rooster and am wondering if there are more than one online NR351- Check and see if I am in your class- Hope so! Joan L.
  7. "See" you in class!-
  8. Hi Lisa, My name is Joan. Is this your first class? I just registered last week. Looking forward to getting started. Glad to hear from you!
  9. Anyone starting NR 351 Oct. 26th with Chamberlain online RN to BSN?
