I, a 56 yr old white woman, think this is an EXCELLENT post and analogy. I never thought I was a racist, or that I was brought up in an area that had racism....until I took a required course in seminary about the "ism's" : racism, sexism, classism, etc. It was an eye opener. I've never learned more in any other class I've ever taken. It was and is amazing to me how subtle racism can be.

Yep, that's it. Just a paper certificate. But don't complain...from the time you send in your renewal to getting your new license is probably less than a week! Small state, small government, gets things done quickly. What do you need a photo on your license for? You have a driver's license for that. And it is pretty quick at the DMV too...no all day wait's for a driver's license. I love VT!
