Although, I have heard good things about Excelsior, I am still a little weary also of a hospital not hiring me because of the clinical experience. I also am concerned with me not getting enough of clinical experience to move on to my NP. I am so glad that someone else has the same concerns. Please keep me posted. I am curious to find whether hospitals will hire an RN with online experience. I will also check with the local hospitals here in Huntington, WV. I do know that Excelsior said that if the Bon accepts them, that the local hospitals would.

Also, clarify something for me. I thought Excelsior didn't use books, they only used study guides for their students. This is what i was told today when I called. Please clarify for me. Geniva

Hi, Everyone. Can someone tell me how to get on the right path from LPN to become a nurse anesthetist. I am seeing alot of schools that offer this online. How can that be? I need much help on knowing what to do. Note: I also believe that one has to have a helping and servants heart to be a effective nurse. But also as being that effective needs that a patient needs, it is also good to make some money while doing it. The money is not everything but it sure does ease the mind. Geniva

I also have spoke with Rio Grande and was much impressed with their LPN to RN program. They have good scheduling for those nurses who work as LPN's. The only thing with me is that I live out of state so my cost for tuition would be 47, 700.00. That is paying approximately 900.00 per credit hour. Love the school and program, but this is a little to far fetched for me to pay. Geniva

I thought about Mountain State University, but I live in Branchland Wv. This school would be some distance for me. I also have looked into Excelsior College. I heard that this college is not BON accredited. Does Mountain State have a online LPN to RN bridge program? Geniva
