  1. Does anyone have to baby their Doctor's and do they get the patients thru the ER as quickly as possible and not hang on to them for 8 or more hours @ a time?
  2. I work in an ER and I have to say if someone wants food and asks for it and they can have we will get it for them. But it is hard to get tray service to our dept so we have sandwhich boxes that we can give them. I always find it really funny that they come to the ER usually by ambulance and the first things that they need are food, to pee and to have a BM.
  3. I totally agree with you guys. I work in the ER also and I may start out my shift a little more forgiving but by the late morning I'm all for "you can leave if you want to, I'm not forcing you to stay". Some times it is very frustrating when you go to call some one for the third time and they're pissed off @ you for taking so long when the whole time they have been outside smoking or gone down to the cafeteria because they have'nt eaten since lunch. And they are here for nausea and vomitting.
  4. Well Cheerfuldoer just be careful if you do go to a Tenet facility. There are plenty of other hospitals in Ca to choose from that would probably be better.
  5. I use to work for Tenet and Redding Medical Center. I resigned for their unethical and just plain crappy way they treat the employees.
  6. I work in an Emergency room and it is hard to to have the nurse:patient ratio. As a team leader I am not supossed to take a patient assignment and if I do not have the staff I have to close beds. That does not help when all of a sudden you have level 1's or emergent that have just been triaged and need to come back. Last week I took an assignment because of those such issues and I was informed that I should not have taken the assignment. Then there are times that you may have a couple of patients on the vent waiting to go up to their room and it is hard to reasign the other patients because you still have these extra patients and no extra nurses.
