  1. below are two post made by you soon2bmrshess. 1st medical surgical semester yesterday 07:33pm hi, im a few days away from taking my first semester of medical surgical nursing final. to say i am freaking out is an understatement. i have 1.5 away from passing (12 in our class passing 16 failing). any tips or help anyone can offer would be amazing. we have covered diabetes, anemia, infectious disease, htn, gu,gi, fluid and electroyltes, sensorineural, perioperative, orthopetics, and diagnositc studies. yesterday, 07:53 srmc only allows 32 in each class now. i am in my second going onto third semester. you get way more clinical hours than jtcc ( i know this because both my parents also went to jtcc and the other to srmc within the last 10 years) our first semester 2 dropped due to personal issues too and only 1 failed out. our second semester a few more dropped mainly because of personal or other issues that were not related to the actual course. so this school is a very good school, so what if everyone doesnt make it to graduation to take the nclex um would you want a sub par barely passing nurse taking care of you? i dont think so. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- so would you consider yourself a sub par barely passing potential nurse that people wouldn’t want caring for them? the class that is graduating this month only has 4 people left from its original class yes i said only 4!!! the class started with i believe 31. this website is to help people out not for telling them wrong information. its misleading for people like you to say that they have a 100 pass rate and that people are willingly dropping for “personal issues” this is not true.
  2. You and I know that’s not the truth! I wish you wouldn’t lie about two people dropping. I know of a person not even making it to clinical, and that wasn’t by choice, so it seems like you need to do some research. Once again 100% pass rate isn’t good when it's such a small amout of people. Good luck on that test your taking the 31st! JTCC had 120 Students take the test JSRCC had 104 Students take the test SRMC had 29 Students take the test Yes I just don’t know how SRMC got 100% and the others didn’t. Here is the link to see just how many took the test http://www.dhp.virginia.gov/nursing/nursing_edprogs.htm
  3. i’m sorry to say but they don’t have that many graduates! i do know a lot about the school their drop/fail rate is way higher than jtcc or jsrcc. just this past graduating class lost around 14 students, and that’s not even counting how many they lost with the other semesters. i know a great deal about the school, so there is no need for more research. i pray that you do make it through, and don’t waste your time like so many before you. i don’t mean to upset you or sadden your joy, but i just hate to see that school hurt so many people. please do me a favor and apply to jtcc and jsrcc this spring i’d just hate for you to leave yourself with no options.
  4. How many points did you have when you got into the LPN program?
  5. Well a 100% is only good if you have more than 10 people taking the NCLEX.
  6. Hello I asked what was the lowest for my class and they said 2.5. Have you applied at JTCC or JSRCC? I don't want to bash the school, but I will tell you this make SRMC you LAST choice. Ask them what their drop rate fail rate is and you will be shocked.
  7. I got accepted into their traditional program and I start spring 2010. I took my prerequisites at JTCC. Can I still get my AS from Richard Bland? I know I would have to take extra classes but would that be the only hurdle? Thanks for any help:wink2:
  8. I got my acceptance letter too
