  1. I too can't understand why you are focusing on the negative comments instead of the positive ones. There are a lot of people cheering for you. Whether we passed the exam on the first, second, or more tries, we know the anxiety that comes with preparing/taking the NCLEX. For you to have to gone through that 8 times and still not give up, you're very strong and determined person. Som Keep that determination going, be positive, pray to God and leave all anxieties aside. You can do all things through God who strengthens you. Just go in there, don't overanalyze the questions, and know that you will pass it. If not the ninth time, but the tenth because you are not giving up! I would definitely recommend doing questions, reading the rationale, and doing them over and over again. I wish you the best and look forward to the updates!
  2. Magnolia, Thank you for sharing your story. I hope that you find inner peace and strength to handle whatever the outcome may be. Hopefully, they make a decision soon and it's nothing major. I will be starting my first job in nursing soon and I've benefited from hearing your story and I am sure others have as well.
  3. Congrats! so good to hear good news.
  4. Best of luck. It definitely sounds like good news.
  5. So, what are the hourly rates for new RNs in nursing homes? Are they pretty close to the rates offered by the hospitals? Thanks.
  6. Thanks Betterme for the advice. I will go there and hand it in person because email is not working for me at all. I really want to work there. Do you think they're still hiring?
  7. Thanks BetterME29! I emailed the nursing recruiter my resume few weeks ago, but haven't heard anything. Were the 22 nurses all new graduates?
  8. Good to know. It seems like everyone wants experienced RNs. I have been applying to a lot of places, but I have not heard anything. Staying hopeful that something will happen soon.
  9. Congratulations Shelby!!!! I am so happy for you. I am still looking, hopefully I'll find something soon also.
  10. That sounds great... I am going to fax my resume there- we'll see what happens.
  11. Thank you so much! I think I would enjoy working with the elderly but I am a little cautious because I k eep hearing that I should start my career at a hospital. It's good to know that you can work at a LTC and be happy at your job. Do you know any good ones closer to the Bklyn area, that also have happy nurses?
  12. I was wondering if anyone can tell me, What is the starting pay at Brookdale Hospital? How is it like working there? How is the hiring process like? Thanks!
  13. I passed the board a couple of weeks ago and I am anxious to find a job in the five boroughs. I have applied to a few hospitals and was thinking of applying to nursing homes as well. There are so many, so I was wondering if there are some RNs out there that absolutely love working at particular homes. Also, what is the starting pay for new grads? Any info will be appreciated. Thank you so much.
  14. Congratulations!!
