Does anyone know how this loan disbursement is suppose to work? My portal hasn't been updated with my mpn an entrance counseling yet. Can't get a hold of anyone and it says it's suppose to disburse today? How?

I just recieved an interview invite for UT Houston Accelerated program summer 2010! Of course I will be declining but awesome to know I had the opportunity! :)

A Vaughn . I called the Fin aid guy to make sure he got the non-disclosure form we were supposed to send, then he gave me a username. After that you get an email telling you to call for your password.

I got 7 Books on amazon saved over $200 as well, I searched all the sites for each book and amazon is the best. Just need 2 more I'll get at the school.

Yup ms sealy I'm very blessed that my oldest sister just happens to live in between and is letting me have a room in her house rent free! I had to move down from huntsville so that would have been very stressful looking for a job too. I already unpacked and decorated! I love it and the beach is literally the next street over! I'm so excited for this year! Everything is falling into place :) hope everyone is doing well and has a great holiday!

I got the same schedule :) It was my last day of work today after 4 1/2 years! Going to miss my patients but so excited to start school!!!! Moving to Seabrook in the morning! :)

Has anyone gotten an email password? I sent my nondisclosure form in my packet and another through fax and nothing yet. Just called and the lady said the person that handles that is out. Ugh.

kcalalang, did you tell her it was your first interview? I'm sure they would put that into consideration.They are so nice.Interviews are so nerve wrecking no matter how many times you've done them. I've only done two before this for my jobs, the last one was 4 1/2 yrs ago so I was freaked out I was gonna be bad. Lucky I had the day before off. I'm sure you did better than you think, we are all our own worst critics. Getting the interview is the hard part, I'm sure you'll get in. Chances are actually very good. I think we started off with what a 60% chance, then consider everyone who will deny. Stay positive, I'm praying for us all! GOOD LUCK!

OMG I kicked so much BUTT!!!!!! WOOO! :heartbeat It's was really cool meeting you ms sealy, put a face to the name :) Helped to calm the nerves talking to everyone who was just as nervous. I was 100% prepared. I had made my throat sore literally yesterday practicing my answers out loud to myself from 10am-6pm! She asked me everything I had prepared for, or it was worded differently and I could grab an answer from something else I had. I was just honest, positive, and very enthusiastic. She was a nice lady, Ms. Lacy. Such a relief, i really thought I was gonna choke cause I'm usually kinda quiet and nervous but it was awesome! At the end she said "okay so I am marking you down as ADMIT!" AHHHHH!!!! She said official word will come in 2-3weeks. but hey that's official enough for me! It was in Pen! haha I hope It was just as great for all of you! We all deserve it! (ms_sealy was I not the only one who wanted that girl next to you to leave lol not to be rude but if you dont want it dont be there, her mommy made her hahaha, i was mad cause one of the great people on here could have had her chance...hopefully they'll get her spot)

Sorry for the late response, I'm at work. Yes I got the email this morning at 9:41am. I posted here first thing! My interview is at 11:30. Remember the lady last week told me that they will send out invites mon. & tues. I know what you guys are feeling, I nearly lost hope! Good luck, you will get one too!!!

she said there are generic tomorrow but I don't know anyone who has gotten one. she said mon/tue for next friday's interview which will be for both bacc2 & generic as well.
