  1. With regards to whether they will accept your credit from testing out of a class...I faced the same situation...if you tested out of a class then they will give you credit for having taken the class if you can prove that you tested. In other words, if it just shows up on your transcript that does not matter...you will need to provide your test results. Also, they will not give you any grade credit for that particular class...meaning that it will not be calculated. So if you have an A in two of the classes and tested out of one, they will average the two classes with the grades only. In other words, it should not matter if you have all As but if you don't then it could hurt you.
  2. Regarding the Pharm question...its not that Cyfair won't accept your Pharm credit if you take it at their campus...you cannot take it at their campus unless you are already accepted into the program and then you can only take it during specific semesters and it is basically either the first summer or fall depending on when you start the program. However, I have it confirmed in writing from the department secretary that they will in fact accept your pharm credit taken at another Lone Star campus. I have already registered for the Fall class at Tomball. I will be attending every Monday at 9am. It is going to be soooooo worth the drive to be able to take that class by itself and before the program starts in the Spring. I KNEW there was a reason I did not get accepted for the Fall program! It was so I could take Pharm in the fall! :)
  3. Thangbom321: I think you may be intending to post in the one for Fall 2010. This thread is for those of us that are trying for the Spring 2011. I just did not want you to think no one was responding to your post about background checks because we are not at that step yet. :) Thanks! Brandy:clown:
  4. My understanding is that Kingwood is the hardest to get into and has the highest cut off.
  5. I had a B in both A&P classes, A in psych and A in Engl so I received 3.6pts for that. Then I scored 89.13 on the HESI Reading and 94 on the math so I received 3.5 pts there and then I have every single class completed so I received 4 pts for that...for a grand total of 11.1625. Essentially without at least an 11.5 there is no real chance at getting into Cy-Fair. It all depends on the applicants that are applying at the same time you are that really determines but shooting for at least 11.5 will put you in a good position. If I make the A in AP2 then it will bump me to 11.5 and I may retake the HESI Reading and increase my score there as well. Good luck to you!
  6. Okay, for all of us that did not get into the Lone Star Fall 2010 program and are trying again for the Spring...here we go again. I'm retaking AP2 this summer (I have a B so now I want an A) to increase my points. After that I just don't know what else to do because I have all co-reqs completed, CPR done and Immunizations done. What are your plans to increase your chances of getting in for the Spring?
  7. I'm in the same boat as you...I had to retake Psych to get an A and though I clepped out of English 1301 10 yrs ago they would not give me any pts for it so I had to take it in a mini mester during Christmas and thankfully made an A. I took the Hesi blind and scored 85.11 on the English and with the exception of the PE (for which I am taking Golf now) I will have all co-reqs completed. I'm retaking the HESI and am hoping to score 95 or higher (studying like mad) so I can get 11.4 pts. Hopefully this will be mine time as well! Good Luck!!!
