  1. I completed all of my prereq's in about 2 years for my BSN prog (...at the time I was looking at a ASN prog, but did not get in.) There are quite a few classes that have to be taken squentially. Eg. A&P I before II, which can be taken along with Chem I, but my school required Algebra before Chem I. I got a C in A&P I and retook it get an A. Then there's also Ab Psych and Human Growth & Dev. I never took science courses together in the same semester to try and get the best grades, so very easily, this can run into 1.5 to 2 years.
  2. A&P I &II were the hardest. My A&P I teacher did it for the money (and said as much). Statistics and Chem II were my all time favs!
  3. Got my nursing packet packet today! (Didn't want to assume you were all on Facebook.)
  4. I was wondering the same thing myslef CalebMommy. Can't your boyfriend help out with homework? Or pick up the kids since you drop them off? If he hekped more with the kids (and him) maybe you would have more time to study and be with him. Maybe you can explan the "bigger picture" to him - this is not forever and it will benefit you both in the long run. Good luck.
  5. Be careful with those summer classes. At my old cc (where I took my prereqs) the regular semester was about 12 weeks, but summer school was only 5 weeks. It's more difficult to comver the same amount of info in A&P in less than half the time, so I would look into that before hand. Best wishes!
  6. According to the registrar's office, time tickets won't be set until next week.
  7. O'Ryan - Emory University (GA) started an accel BSN prog that starts Summer 2010 that transitions into a masters program right after (3-5 semesters). The BSN is 4 semesters, and the program is for those with a degree already in another field. This program is brand new, and I came across it by accident (stopped looking after going to another school). I said all of this to say, have you checked out the schools in your area recently? (If not - willing to move to GA? :) There have been some changes to atleast 3 schools in the area that I can think of. It may pay to do some reseach in your area even if you have looked at those schools before.
  8. I talked to Fran yesterday (on another matter) and she said that she'd see me in a couple of weeks for orientation (before she hung up). She didn't give a date, but I'm sure once she gets all of the signed contracts back we'll get that info. :wink2:
  9. Hey! I got accepted to the traditional program for the Spring as well! Can't wait to meet you guys!
