I start march 22nd practical nursing @ southwest skill center im excited and a lil nervous!!

congratulations mattison i also start swsc this month so c u at orientation 2morrow im so excited as well do u know any info on this school how the teachers are?? etc..

yes if ur lookin for something more realistic i would say go for your lpn then get back into an rn program...like the 1 young lady said theres gateway,maricopa skill center and southwest skill center so try some of those. hope this helps

yea thas true but i only been living here 4 a year, and it seems to me like this states makes it extremly hard 4 u here with everything, yes the city of detroit is doing much worse than the state overall, but the hospitals doesnt have hiring freezes, and its way more longterm care facilities and etc.... than ive seen here!

thanks everyone for info on msc.....but thats in the state of az where their are not plenty lpn jobs....in mich 4 of my friends r pn's making btw 24-26 hr strait out of school one has been a pn 4 6 years, and the others just graduated in 2008 they all make good money and their all goin back 4 their rn, and they all say it was worth it.....i dnt plan on staying here when im done with school theres better nursing jobs else where and plentiful!

look whtever u do DONT GIVE UP,i know at times it can get frustrating...it will b over b4 u know it...just keep praying and reminding urself like u said.....u have came too far!!

thank u arizdolphin 4 the words of encouragement....but they wont tell your accepted until jan 2010 so im just waiting, and they wont stop accepting apps until dec 18. R u applying 2 any nursing programs or in any???

hi, well as far as i know there are no prereqs and u don't have to have your cna. I just recently turned in my application i hope i get in.....im also goin to apply to swsc my app is completed i just need my second hep b shot, but their waitlist is 1 year do anyone know if it could be sooner than that?
