  1. This melted my heart when I read it. I was just trying to get the word out. Nursing is such an amazing and rewarding career. This nurse deserves to know she is still thought of after all this time!! http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-1044536
  2. Iguana Med, best scrubs ever made!!!! So comfy!!!
  3. My absolute favorite scrubs are Iguana Med. They are SOOO comfy and I am a cargo pant kind of gal. I like to stash flushes, alcohol swabs and 2x2s in my cargo pants! I have to wear Navy blue. They are hard to find. Seems like they are always sold out online.
  4. Hey everyone!! I'm an RN on a very busy medsurg floor. I am soooo sick and tired of doing MY job and the CNA's job. We have some of the LAZIEST CNA's ever!! You have to practically tell them to do everything. Do I really need to tell you to bathe and change the patients? Drain the foley? Change the sheets?? I mean, really?? Anyways, I was hoping for some suggestions from you guys on how things flow on your floors. We were talkiing of starting a check list for the aides to do on the patients or whatever. I have been going bonkers trying to think of SOMETHING to suggest (cause if I could I would fire more than half of them) that would help us all out.... We are all tired of it and instead of just complaining, I was hoping to find a solution to make them more accountable. I'm so tired of busting my butt and then passing by the common area for the staff and seeing them on the ******* internet when I'm busting my rump doing my job and they are just hanging out waiting til 7 when they could be doing something productive. It's frustrating.... I'm over it. Is this a common problem? Suggestions? Pllleeassee.
  5. I agree that the Papermate Profiles are AWESOME pens!!! I don't do nursing notes w/out them! I have extras in my locker! :)
  6. Awesome!! Thank you!!! I bet the version of I Believe I can Fly was much better by your fellow students!! Everyone has different taste and I know I jammed out to it back in the day, but the thought of him being indicted on sexual abuse (or was it child Media?) or some kind of charges just turns my nose up to him! LOL! Although, I don't think he was ever convicted, but STILL!! ;-) THANK YOU SOOOO much for those songs!!! I totally forgot about Rodney Atkins..... That song is very much appropriate!! Hmmm... I am totally bringing that one up!! Although it says "hell", hopefully the instructors won't be prudes about it!!! LOL!
  7. What?? You mean "I Believe I can Fly" is not a good song..... darnit.... :chuckle LOL!! I would NEVER suggest that one!! LOL! I am trying to search a wide variety and so far I have: Whenever You Remember, Carrie Underwood The Climb, Miley Cyrus If Today Was Your Last Day, Nickelback Time of Your Life, David Cook Totally didn't think of the Black Eyed Peas! I love Fergie!!! Our instructor warned us against harsh metal, rap, and rock songs cause all of our families will be there and all that.... So we will see!!! I love some of those you suggested! They haven't said how many I need yet, but we graduate in December so I thought I would get a move on! Thanks so much for all of those and if you think of any other songs, please let me know!!!
  8. I was just trying to find out what songs were played at everyone's capping and pinning ceremony. Or what are some suggestions? I'm trying to compile a wide variety to present to the class. I would appreciate any and all suggestions!!! Thanks so much!
