Lonestar Spring 2013
I went to the bookstore this morning to buy my books and they were out. I was actually going to buy the ebook package, but they did not have it and they ran out of the hard copy books. She said they have been having to turn down students and have been informing students that need it for Monday that they share. I ended up buying the eBook online just now. ETA: You can see everything for the course online now. I think someone may have mentioned this earlier, but not sure.

Lonestar Spring 2013
They gave us a a list of books in the orientation on October 8. For next week, I believe sapadgett emailed to find out which one we needed and I believe it's this one: Taylor's Clinical Nursing Skills: A Nursing Process Approach: Pamela Lynn: 9780781793841: Amazon.com: Books

Lonestar Spring 2013
As a previous poster mentioned, at a glance, when you log into my lonestar it appears as if I am not registered. It even says "not currently registered" under "upcoming semester"; however, when i click on "my schedule and textbook info" and then select spring 2013 semester then my class info shows up. Also, if I login to Angel I can see my classes there for next semester. I hope that helps. I am confused too about what we need for next week. I am doing the evening class - it's in HSB 108, but I don't have any info on a book. I didn't see one on the list or on the bookstore's website. Maybe I need to go in person.

Yep. The girl at Scrubs Etc. also had me try on the Klogs as well. They were comfortable, but I didn't buy them because she said that they shouldn't be big in the back like other clogs by Dansko and Sanita, but they were on me. I may just end up going with a white tennis shoe. I've seen some by Skechers and some Saucony ones as well. I'm not a huge fan of New Balance, but Saucony has always been good to me with their running shoes, so I may opt for them.

Lonestar Spring 2013
Has anyone looked at shoes for nursing school? The information packet says that we can have white professional shoes or all white leather tennis shoes. Does anyone know if they white professional shoes have to be all white or can the soles be black? I have tried on Dansko and Sanita shoes and I believe that my feet are too wide for them. I have also tried on Alegria ones and they seem very comfy. I am thinking of ordering some of the Alegria shoes and maybe a pair of Skechers as well. These are the Alegria shoes I want - I may email Valerie re: the white sole. Alegria Dayna White Patent Nursing Shoe DAY-100 - PG Lite

Hi! I don't have my paperwork with me here at work and was wondering if any of you can tell me if this is the correct scrub top? Thanks in advance! Urbane Women's Essentials 2-Pocket Crossover Solid Scrub Top | allheart.com Also, the school did say that we could wear other Landau pants besides those listed as long as they were navy, correct?

Lone Star Kingwood Spring 2013
I was just wondering who else will be applying to the ADN program at Lone Star Kingwood for Spring 2013. I took the HESI the day after all my finals this semester and did okay despite not studying at all. Right now my score for the program is 11.616 - I am debating whether or not I should retake the HESI to get a higher score or settle for my 11.616. Any suggestions?

Declaratory order to Texas BON
I wish I had the letter here in front of me, but it's at home right now. Basically, the letter said that I was approved to take the exam; however, that approval, did not mean that I was authorized or eligible to take the exam and that upon meeting all the requirements and paying the fee, etc....then I would be authorized to take the exam.

Declaratory order to Texas BON
I have not been accepted to a nursing school yet, but plan to apply next fall. I submitted my petition on Sept. 25th and had a response by Oct. 21st. Are you sure they received the packet...do you have some sort of confirmation that they received it from the USPS, etc....or however you shipped it.

Anyone have to file petition for declaratory order?
Hi. Corlee. I can't seem to send you an email and it won't let me pm you. IDK why but I would like to know how long it took them to respond. I filed mine early September and did my fingerprinting the 25th of Sept. I know it says at least 3 months. Also, have you been accepted into a program. THANKS!!! & Congrats!

Anyone have to file petition for declaratory order?
Hi. I plan to apply for the Houston Community College nursing program in 2010, however, I had a misdemeanor charge on my recording from when I was younger. It was a stupid mistake, but I filed a petition for a declaratory order because I want to make sure that I will be able to even sit for the NCLEX after I complete nursing school. Basically, I don't want to waste my time if I can't. Has anyone else had to do this? If so, what was the outcome. THANKS!
